Maruti Suzuki Alto was the best-selling passenger vehicle in India This entry level hatchback was also at No. 1 on the top 10 list of hatchbacks sold in India last month, closely followed by the WagonR. Adding considerable numbers were the Swift and Baleno while lower down the list was Maruti Ignis and S-Presso also from Maruti Suzuki stables. Hatchback Sales Jan 2023 Maruti Suzuki Alto topped the sales charts last month. Sales stood at 21,411 units in Jan 2023, up 73.48 percent as against 12,342 units sold in Jan 2021. MoM sales improved by 147.58 percent from 8,648 units sold in Dec 2022. Alto commands a 17.30 percent share on this list. Maruti Suzuki has been paying added attention to the Alto with regular updates and refreshes. More recently, the company has introduced the Maruti Alto K10 Xtra Edition with new exterior and interior accessories that will instantly appeal to a younger segment of buyers in the country. YoY and MoM growth was also seen in the case of Maruti WagonR. Though it improved only marginally by 0.65 percent on a YoY basis to 20,466 units in Jan 2023 from 20,334 units sold in Jan 2021, MoM sales grew 101.02 percent from 10,181 units sold in Dec 2022. At No.3 was Maruti Swift with 16,440 units sold last month, down 13.96 percent from 19,108 units sold in Dec 2022. It was however, a MoM growth of 36.31 percent over 12,061 units sold in Dec 2022. The 2024 Maruti Swift has been spied on test and gets a complete change in design over its current counterpart. It is expected to debut later this year.

Magnite - Better to buy in Budget with Loaded FEATURES.( 8L) Tiago - Good build quality n good road presence. But lack of luggage space. Good to Buy. *Celerio - Waste of money* 🤮🤮 Grand I10 - Ok. Budget friendly. ALTO K10 - Good Budget car for City ride. Swift - Good performance but poor build quality n poor Ground clearance. Baleno vs Glanza - *Recommended to buy Glanza.* Wagon R - Recommended for tall Boys. Good Budget friendly car. But poor Build Quality. *Punch - All Rounder* 👍💐. But too much waiting period. Maruti Suzuki rules in budget car segments. But unfortunately they are going to stop the production of alto 800(not alto k10) Though celerio and ignis have poor sales record they have good driving performance with decent mileage...
Due to unnecessary facelift grand i10 Nios sales drops from 10,000 to 6000. Front design is too bad and looks very costly now. From 3000, i20 increased to 6000 units... Good among altroz and Baleno.. i20Magna variant is value for money car. In this segment Tiago is best... essential features with better stability and more safety.. Baleno, Swift are costly in this segment. Alto, Celerio, Wagon R are smaller in size and less safety. Finally, 1. Tiago for 4 adults and one kid - best in segment. Value for money. 2. i20 (magna/sportz) more loaded features with 3 star safety and good stability. Five adults can travel safely. Value for money.
My favirote hatch back car is Santro Xing XG smooth,gentel easy driven, spacious, ground clearance, pickup, breaking, I bought this car in 2003, still I don’t have mind to change it, I hVe driven many cars, but none other car given so comfortable like my santro

After one year study...am plan to purchase ignis....only disadvantage is suspension and rear seat comfort and backside look....other than this I think everything is ok......considered following, mileage, driving comfort, maintenance cost, best budget...budget and maintenance not constraint means I will go for citreon

What about Totota Glanza?
I recently bought Maruti Wagon-R AMT top end model. The price what I paid is worth for it, but one major dis advantage is there is no detachable head rest for the front seats. driving performance is good and ground clearance also good. It is a tall boy category helps for tall persons who can sit and drive comfortably.

I hv Dzire and Spresso. I will easily say Spresso automatic is the best car. Best visibility at the front, best sideways visibility, best back visibility. Best sitting position. V can see the top of the bonnet. Best handling of potholes. Easiest car to drive in bumper to bumper city traffic. Easy to park. For a family of 4, it's the best option. If they provide a single 10" vertical tab display unit instead of the existing display tab+other screen display, it will b really jazzy. Even ladies find it so easy to drive becos of the best all round visibility & driving position. Maruti is seriously stupid in not promoting it well enough.

Baleno. Also ignis does not fall under hatchback category. It's a micro SUV that was introduced before tata punch. Unfortunately it was so under rated because of low sales and lack of ads. Now Maruti has labelled ignis as Urban SUV

Yeah bro, very first time I had the opportunity to travel for marriage with office friends. It was a very nice experience irrespective of my non car knowledge. It looks small but the space was good with 5 men traveling.
