this is a surprisingly personal project for Chuu, much more emotional than expected i do remember she talked about her self-doubts on a variety show (this happened when we didnt even knew about the whole BBC fiasco, it makes much more sense now) and it was truly sad that she had so much self-doubt, this seems like she is healing a lot of that.

Sooooo cuuute!!!

I have a feeling that the bigger monster represents her doubts and fears while being under bbc . There was a concept picture that was released where the monster in a speech bubble asks ‘Why are you eating?’ This makes me think it’s a shadow because on a show she did bring up her complicated relationship with food and binge eating when stressed and how she felt guilty about it. I think this MV represents moving on from your fears and doubts now she is surrounded by people who love her and is free.

Since Chuu was afraid about how she would fare in this new stage of her life as a self-managed solo artist and entrepreneur, in 'Howl' she is accompanied by two dokkaebi (Korean goblins) which in Korean mythology are imaginary good creatures with extraordinary powers or abilities that allow them to interact with humans.
