Discovered these guys yesterday (Nov7/13) - they were playing "The Bones of What You Believe" in my local (London Ontario) record store. That's my favourite way to discover new music! Love the album! Great, amazing sound! Gracias por la musica. My Grandfather McHaffie was born in Glasgow (60 McCulloch Street) in 1895. "If it's not Scottish, it's crap."

I just found out about Chvrches and I think their sound is amazing. Lauren's voice is great.

I heard them in Fifa 14. And my god i just listened to some of their songs and they are good. Hope more people listens to them here in America.

Since everyone is telling their "how I discovered chvrches" I'll tell mine I was reading rolling stone and I saw Lauren and thought huh she looks like a bad ass I'll give them a try and I listened to their music and didn't like it. But later on the next couple weeks their stuff was always being recommended to me by iTunes and pandora and the like. One day it just clicked and now I get as much chvrches content as I can

They definitely chose the right person for their sound.

They're about as well spoken as it gets here! I even struggle to understand some west of Scotland accents at times, same with Geordie(Newcastle area) and scousers(Liverpool)

Well she has the same kind of accent as people where I'm from do, which is kind of central highlands. But she could be from any number of places and just toning down the accent :) There is more to Scotland than just the Glasgow area you know!

Not being from Scotland, I understood all of it. ...And I'm not quite sure how to feel about that.

She's from Glasgow as well, I think. They're all toning down their accent so people can understand them. Can you imagine the difficulty non-Scottish people would have trying to understand them if they were using real Glaswegian.
