CHURNET VALLEY RAILWAY STEAM GALA 2024, S160 DOUBLE HEADER, PENDENNIS CASTLE, 75014 BRAVEHEART

S160s 5197, 6046
filmed leaving Kingsley & Froghall on the Sunday
then seen leaving Consall on the Monday
and finally speeding by the public foot crossing between Apesford and Threshing Barn (filmed with smartphone by the sign whilst I snapped pictures staying behind the sign as directed but wearing hi vis supplied by the CVR).
4079 Pendennis Castle filmed leaving Kingsley & Froghall on the Monday (its last trip)
then departing Consall earlier on the Monday,
then ascending the incline on the Monday too.
75014 Braveheart is seen departing Kingsley & Froghall with the very last move of the gala, Monday evening.
A superb gala, a real treat after five long years without.
Thanks to the friendly crew as usual.
Thanks to SJ for company over 3 days.

I love the American steam whistles.. they always sound so haunting when heard from a distance. It would be great if there were a few U.S. clerestoried passenger cars for these to haul.
