"Church hurt" and "religious trauma" in America basically boils down to being made to attend church on Sunday morning as a teenager and being told by a pastor that putting stuff up your butt is wrong.

Church hurt is when the church isn’t treating the church how the Bible instructs them to. Church hurt is when they go beyond their walls to help the outsiders and not think about their own, hurting congregation inside their walls. Church hurt is when the leaders are in sin so they can’t help you when you’re wanting to repent and change and get accountability. Church hurt is when they burden you after you become vulnerable with your burdens to them and they show no care. Church hurt is when you share your struggle, they help, but expect something back from you in some form of repayment. So many more…

That pretty much covers why on today's world everyone wants to be a victim. The idea of "wanting to be a victim" seems masoquist when thought bluntly. However in a society that acts as if so called victims are automatically saints and could never do any wrong... ppl will do anything to be considered victims, AKA "always right". And sadly, the church is falling for this trap and apologizing when most of the times, shouldn't. If we allow ourselves to be dictated by an ungodly world about how we should behave as the church.... than we better just leave the church altogether and renounce our faith already.... what's the difference after all?

real church hurt is when you make sinners think sin is just fine. Jesus died for sin so I am saved. Therefore obedient people are bad. "they will call evil good, and good evil."

Ya know what i thought as i was reading your comment? The "He gets us" ad VS the "He saves us" response. Your comment pretty much covered the difference between both ads. Yes, if we affirm people on what's leading them to hell out of "love", we like the doctor that tells the morbidly obese patient that he/she can keep on eating junk food at will not to hurt the patient's feelings. The church's main sin in our age is to be more concerned for people's feelings, than their souls!

Its christianity that has twisted this thing around. Every sane person with critical thinking skills knows that the idea of eternal torments and suffering in hell for example is pure evil. But you christians thinks that this is a good thing. Think about that.

Real church hurt comes in many forms, it can be what you said but it can be so much worse, including unrighteousness judgment and false discernment.

That’s extremely insensitive, it’s literally just a physically bigger Barbie? So you’re making an assumption people who have “church hurt” as you say gain weight? This is a very unhelpful negative point and assumption to something like a body positive Barbie. Would be like if you got upset over a black Barbie, oh wait!
