I wish they still rang church bells. I grew up with them in Germany, and my heart rejoiced every day when I heard them. In some areas in Bavaria they still ring. In many other parts refugees of other religions were offended, and many German towns complied and stopped ringing them - really sad!

when i was a kid, church bells used to scare me, even if i was religious. today they calm me, but im not religious anymore. i feel at home, i remember my childhood and how some days were totally peaceful. almost everyone around be is annoyed by the ringing of bells, but im extremely grateful everytime i hear them in the middle of the day. it's a beautiful sound which heals my soul, thank you for this video

When they're well tuned and in proper sync, church bells are some of the magnificent sounds imaginable, they're like an iron choir. Just look up clips of Cologne Cathedral's bells at Christmas over in Germany.

Whenever I hear the church bells, I just point my body to where it comes from, and just stand there, enjoying the peace...

all the day am very busy with work my heart beats fast but when i listen the bells church in the night my hearts beats become slow the bells church fixe my heart beats again i feel my heart in harmony with bells church

This is the ASMR of my childhood in the early 80s near Bastogne. In the Belgian Ardennes. Riding my bike with friends, trying to catch fish with bare hands in the river, wandering in the forest fearing wild boars, eating raw corn and so on. But when the bells rang, it was time to split up and go back home for a good meal in family. No smartphones around. Just the church bells as a beacon.

as a kid i used to live near churches , live was good back then everything was almost perfect . then we moved out of the country somewhere far . I came back , because i miss the old days

I don’t know why but this makes me really nervous and I start to sweat whenever I hear it and I feel like i’m going to die. It’s terrifying but I can’t stop listening to it.

I associate bell ringing with night atmosphere, bonfires and something deadly and scary - medieval wars, horror stories, sacrifices But for some reason it calms me down a lot

I guess coming from a non-Christian background, I cannot really relate to comments that says that the sound of church bells calm them. There is something about the resonance of Buddhist temple bells that makes it linger around longer thus the frequency of strikes are dramatically fewer than church bells. With that being said, I do fine church bells to be quite interesting and are much more appropriate to ring a happy occasion. It just sounds more bright and joyous and the frequency also makes me think of the bell having more energy and excitement as weird as that might sound ahahaha
