Anonymous Cucumber seriously though. they thought she’d be an easy target back when she debuted (since that’s when you’re more vulnerable due to stress/pressure of debuting). but girl didn’t take any of that, and any potential hate died down.

in this Snapping era I was so worried...I mean she did lose a lot of weight..She was way healthier in the Gotta go era..that was the best shape. As I see..she's starting to put back some weight so I'm glad . I hope she stay happy and healty

I hate how everyone body shames these artists like even if they are really skinny they are still body shamed

I love the way this video series focuses so much on the mental health of the artists and not just superficially analyzing the weight gain/loss. You must be a very empathetic person to be able to make videos like these in such a tasteful manner. As for Chungha, I'm so happy that she seems to be feeling good mentally and glowing physically as a result. Although she is getting the recognition she deserves, sometimes I worry that if the public shifts her views on her she'll be back to feeling unstable, but she seems to have become a stronger and more resilient person after what she's been through. Also is The Boys outro back??

Chungha didn't get rejected from JYP, she was actually a trainee there for 3 years I believe before she left to MNH. I'm sad that her vocal is so underrated because of her godly dance prowess, she's actually such an all-rounded idol. Her vocal is amazing even during why don't you know I still think it's not bad at all but she's definitely improving a lot. She deserves everything she has and so much more, she builds her own name and even her company all on her own.

Her weight's been pretty stable all year and if she hasn't mentioned being stressed but it lately at all like in the past.

Speaking from a neutral pov, I love both Chungha and Somi but I think it's clear that Somi shines much brighter in a group rather than as a soloist while Chungha completely meant to be a soloist. I have been Somi's fan since Sixteen and even after IOI debuted. Tbh, I never ever realized or noticed about Chungha while she's in IOI. She was overshadowed by Somi who shines brighter than ever. Now that those 2 both debuted as a soloist, I think many people will agree with me on this: Chungha is a born soloist meanwhile Somi shines brighter in a group. p/s: my opinion doesn't deny any of their talents in any sorts of way. I'm just giving my opinion based on their personal aura and vibes.

I'm gonna kindly disagree. I think Somi is figuring herself out and coming into her own. Chungha has been performing alone far longer than Somi so I think we should give Somi time to discover what kind of soloist she is and wants to be. I think we should support her in her path and with that love and support she'll blossom. She's still so young. Chungha is older and probably as a result far more sure of herself. Other than that. I respect your opinion but I do think Somi is very young and yet to show us her strongest. :)

Adele has very classic London girl aesthetic and Nicki Minaj has the thicc bad bih aesthetic. Whereas the standard aesthetic in kpop is just pale, skinny and tall

I like her for her positive attitude. Everytime I see her on stage, I have to smile and I love her dancing. She is a really wonderful person.

And look at her now, one of the top solo artists in 3rd gen, also i have always thought that she was more to vocal but damm both her singing and dancing are on point

Chungha has her own aura. her own presence. her own style. her own attractiveness. her unique looks. she was meant to be a soloist from the very beginning. she's a superstar. I have so much respect for her it's crazy😭❤️

If you compare the head to others its roughly the same size, it's just that her body is very tiny and makes it seem slightly larger. She doesnt look too disproportionate tho, so it doesnt really affect her

I’m genuinely so happy for her. Imagine going on a first season of a reality competition in which, even if you win, you don’t know how the public perceives you and debut after the disbandment isn’t certain. Fast forward to now, she’s probably one of the most popular solo female artists in such a short amount of time. She did all that while being in a smaller company and having to rely only on herself every performance. I wish her a lifetime of success and hopefully have no negativity that the industry seems to inevitably bring to people who don’t deserve it in the slightest.

She deserves all the success she has now . She worked hard for it.

i remember that interview she did were she discussed her diet and said “i want to show a different image before my debut so i lost a lot of weight .... i reduced the amount i eat a little bit at a time and sometimes i didn’t eat at all .... i didn’t eat carbs and am eating a little but before the comeback.” that plus her extreme stress and anxiety and depression caused such extreme weight loss and it hurt so badly to see. i am so proud of her for overcoming her struggles and seeing her become a more healthy and happy version of herself. i know that nobody is perfect and this kind of stuck can stick with you, so she may relapse into these habits again, but i hope she knows she’s loved and that she’s never alone. I don't know why but I can feel that both of us are going through something similar but yeah she's as a singer but mine as a student. I'm suffering with MDD and I had a huge weight lost (around 3-4kg) in such a short period and currently starting to gain the weight bit by bit back as my condition gets better.
