I hope I didn't look too bad in this match while playing Smaland. Feels like an honor to have thousands of people watch us lose a game we could have won by playing more carefully lol.

Saw both of your names immediately from the team loading screen. I immediately thought. Wow, Terry, Bob, and Red all in the same team, this is going to be an easy win. Did not expect the ending. Haha.

You did pretty well tbh, tried to carry the team by the end screen. If anything, I did waste my last torpedo spread in the end for area denial, if I hadn't, I could have taken down Izumo in the last minute, and we would have won on points. Tight battle, some clean positioning by the enemy Vermont, only managed to clip him twice, and our BBs refusing to cap. I'd call that GG, gentlemen 😁

Chung Mu, together with Hsienyang and Black Fushun, are my three most played ships in game. I really love this boat ❤

Gotta admit when I saw that Red and Boblyn were your teammates i thought you guys woulda killed it, oh well can't win em all. Still a great game bro 👍

I still have this ship. The Deep Water Torpedoes are deadly to BBs in the same teir. The Guns are good with AP against destroyers, not to mention the smoke gen and radar skills together make her a dangerous opponent if performed correctly.

Hello. Yes, your choice for the skill 1 of the commander is the best choice for a DD. I have this skill on all my DD commander. For information, on the skill 2, the torpedo detection is a little be uselles. The better choice, without DFA and sonar, it's better time to repair main guns, secondary guns and torpedoes tubes. I use that on all my BB commander and I start to use on DD and cruiser commander. 😊 I have keep this T9 and I have the T10. Fun ships but too many games with 4 or 5 DD per teams, so complicated to make a big game per moment. I use mostly my pan European DD for torpedoes mission and of course for the AA. 😍

I struggle with Chung Mu a bit just because it gets put into T10 battles. Without torpedoes to deter other destroyers, you have to rely on your guns, but when all the other ships have guns a tier higher it can make you vulnerable. I have had some really good games in it though and I enjoy the line a great deal. (Obviously you're not going to suffer from weaker guns when the enemy dds are all shimakazes, but if there are German dds on the enemy team it gets brutal very fast.)

Yes, you do have to pick your battles. I don't usually try to engage DDs in 1v1, but I've also found that the fact I can't torp them anyway helps, it allows for a mind set of a pure gun duel, where the opponent might pause for some seconds to get a torpedo drop off. Plus, with rear-biased guns, you're better positioned to kite away anyway.

@@FunandGameswithTerry Yes, I agree. Though my favorite is to play against people in Japanese dds and forget that they have guns altogether 😂 I just prefer the Hsienyang. It's better for it's tier I think.

It’s a good boat and not a bad grind. You are going to love the Yueyang.

Really? (No sarcasm here). I stopped at Fushun, as it is better than any other up tiers ships.. the mix between USSR vessel + dwt was awesome

You don’t see Chung Mu and Yueyang much because they consistently draw DD heavy games…. Matching algorithm will hold you in the queue until you get 4 or more DDs on enemy team…. It will put you on teams with bot DDs and human DDs on enemy team….

Interesting, I'll have to observe that. I don't mind going up against DDs all that much, getting torp hits in higher tiers is hard anyway, and the PAs are usually USN models with decent guns, smoke and radar. I tend to draw enemy DDs into friendly lines of fire, negate their smoke, and let the cruisers pick up the rest

@@FunandGameswithTerry You can win DD gunfights w/ both ships… It’s best to team any deep water torpedo ship w/ a CL and a BB… In a DD heavy match try to play support, lay smoke for BBs and CLs use radar in support role too… after enemy DDs are thinned out, then try to use torps… however, the algorithm further handicaps these ships by consistently putting you on the weak side of the formation where it’s difficult to play support to your team…. It’s an aspect of the game that’s rarely talked about…

I might be biased here, since I'm coming from a CL main position, so I often tend to play "support" in most ships

It's a decent tier 9 dd, not bad actually I didn't struggle grinding it, to Yueyang

I find DDs to be the least affected by T9, for BBs it's generally the hardest, due to the calibre jump

I wish u could turn off the AA guns in the game

I’m only personally at tier 4, but I am excited to continue the grind to the Yue-Yang And at least this ship looks fun

I've been playing the Chung mu for a while too and I gotta say, it's pretty good playing it as a full stealth.

That's one thing I've liked about the Huang He - you can slow down an entire flank of capital ships alone by just stealth torping, and occasionally smoking up to get some gunfire in. They're versatile ships in their own right, and the radar makes them more dangerous than their USN counterparts imo
