Black Eyed Peas was on my mind too who used Tagalog in their popular recorded songs released internationally. And the member Apl de Ap was really proud to include Tagalog.Even until their recent concerts, he still included the Filipino songs in their performances. I wonder if Apl knows about SB19 and their impact in our music industry right now. I hope he gets interviewed and asked about SB19 coz he has same style like upbeat music, hiphop, and rap.

I love that they sang in Tagalog. You hear songs with Spanish mix. The more people hear it the more others will hear and grow to accept it in world music. Filipino language in music is beautiful.. I wish more Filipino support this type of music. Be proud of the fact the Filipino group like SB19 is bringing Filipino music into the popular mainstream.. I've always wonder how far our Filipino artist would go if fully supported by Filipinos..

JVKE has so much in common with the SB19 boys. JVKE is totally independent and refused to sign up with any of the l big labels. He promotes himself mostly on his TikTok and composed and produced his songs with his brother in his bedroom. He refused to relinquish creative control over to the big labels and wanted to prove that he can make it as an independent artist. And he is making it. This is good timing for the boys as they are also rising stars on the international stage.

Iba talaga pag tagalog yung ginamit. Mas naging deep yung lyrics. And its so good. Buti tinagalog talaga nila.

One of the best things that maybe is not known-Jake approached SB19 and asked if they wanted to do a remix. It's great that he wanted them.

Even though Pablo's only line is "Hey come along"😂, his harmonies and voice blending in the background doing runs and all that, made their harmonies even more crisp and full 😩

thanks to this song "golden hour"..this is where i discovered sb19 last april 2024..Jake spinned the globe and pointed to the Philippines..he googled for the most famous singer in the country and sb19 popped up..i was so amazed with the lyrics and their voices with their humble demeanor plus good looks..and since then, i followed the group, subscribed to their channel and watched all their videos up until now😊

I listened to the other versions (of other int'l artists) of this open verse series by JVKE, they're great pa rin naman, Idk maybe I'm being biased 😂, SB19's still the best for me. The tagalog lyrics, (OMG so deep and romantic😩) the rap verses, (I'm surprised they were able to fit rap verses in this kind of song! and it added a different and refreshing flavor tbh), their HARMONIES (I feel like I'm in a church hearing angels sing😭), and the killing part, Stell's part just right before the chorus OMG, the best! 😵‍💫 After I heard their version, feeling ko may kulang na kapag nakikinig ako dun sa iba😂, de pero maganda rin 'yung sa iba, iba-iba sila ng atake eh. But I personally like Fuji Kaze's and Ruel's aside from SB19's.

My eldest really likes this song very much... it was played almost everyday the moment he discovered this years ago to the point I had LSS... And although my youngest is jealous of Justin(he's my Bias also like Chuck and I always call him Bebe Justin in front of my youngest), he likes Justin's line 'parirala' coz he's very familiar with it as it's part of their latest lesson in school before their vacation. Hi Casual Chuck. I hope you can read this comment of mine. I really appreciate the SB19 videos that you create. I do have a suggestion as well that would really help new casual fans most especially international fans in appreciating the talent of SB19. Can you also make like a "LYRICS Explained" videos of all their songs? Coz those type of videos got me interested in Kpop before because I got to know the meaning behind the word play, etc. So I think having a "Lyrics Explained" video that will show the meaning of tagalog words and the word plays will make international fans appreciate their songs more and appreciate the beauty of our language and culture as well. I think the second chorus with SB19 sounds fuller because it includes JVKE’s back-up vocals, so it’s like SB19 is singing to a minus one. Nevertheless, because it sounds fuller it sounds grander, more impactful. So beautiful but way too short!
