I ran into Chuck in Santa Maria, CA about 20 min from where he lives in San Louis Obispo. I stopped at a mini mart gas station, get out of the car, and here is Chuck with his wife and daughter, and Chuck picks his daughter up out of the back seat of his Escalade, throws his daughter over his shoulder and rushed her into the mini mart for a bathroom emergency moment! His daughter had to go! They were on their way to Vegas, and Chuck was commentating on a UFC fight. Made it 20 miles and potty emergency! Hahahaa! He is out and about from time to time in the area, he is definitely the Central CA Coast's Son. Great guy, humble ALWAYS. A friend of mine is one of "his buddies", he told me a story when Chuck came down to a bar to hang out with them, he was drinking water, just came to see his buddies. Some guy in the bar came by their table and spit on Chuck. The bouncer at the bar, who knows it's Chuck Liddell, was obviously keeping an eye on, jumped in right away and threw the guy out. Chuck wiped the spit off his face, never retaliated at all, kept calm and humble, and just hung out with his buddies. That's Chuck Liddell, he's a great guy.

I’m just glad he’s looking pretty healthy and it doesn’t seem like he’s got any effects from all those knockouts at the very end of his career. I can't watch this without getting sad. At this point Chuck was still lucid for the most part. But by the time he fought Tito the last time he was a shell of his former self. Breaks my heart. Such a great guy. CTE is very real and it's taking its toll on countless athletes.

Mid 1990s, Strongbow Stadium Bakersfield, CA. Ringside watched this man trade wins with Scott the Monster Harmon. Also, I saw him break the jaw of a local boy called the Cowboy with an axe kick. Wow, one bad, bad man. Then onto Woody's for the after party. Thanks, Chuck! The rest, History!
