Chuck E Cheese’s Darien IL last visit before remodel
On June 14, 2023, the 3 stage containing the Studio C Beta began demolition. Though people might say that it doesn’t matter because it isn’t programmed anymore, this was my childhood location and the stage itself has been there for over 40 years.

I'll honestly never go there again with my family. Without the animatronic, it's nothing special. There are a dozen other arcades that are better. They already took away the play structure, now this. I only took my kids here for the stage! Biggest mistake rebranding themselves. RIP Chuck, Helen, and Jasper. Goodbye Chuck e Cheese. 😢
I will forever hate 2.0 I hope it causes them the company to go out of business

As much as I despise 2.0, apparently sales are up more at those locations than phase 4 locations. However, I highly doubt that has anything to do with the animatronics being gone. It’s more so the modernness of the store.

@@Showbizcollegekid I wouldn't mind them getting new animatronics or adding new characters or even modernizing, but animatronics are what made Chuck E Cheese different and taking that apart leaves them with nothing.

@@Darkpotato06I agree removing the animatronics suck, but it was bound to happen at some point. It actually saves the tech a lot of time to work on the video monitor and dance floor rather than the stage. If you had a chance to work on them, you’d see that it’s time consuming to get them to a decent condition again.

Yes, it’s been happening sporadically for the past 5-6 years. For example, around this time last year, there were around 20 3-stages and now there are only 6
