I think this is the reason why my teacher when I was living in China never told me what feeling the standing qigong would give mee. Because you focus on a idea that is not spontaneous so you are not relaxed enough. Man this wc teacher is something else. Much respect for him.

In the old days, people needed to work in the field everyday doing physical labor. So, they understood how to use their joints and muscles in some natural "human" ways. Today, people go to the gym and do some stupid weight lifting to build muscles for display. It is hard to train those muscles to move the natural ways.

Makes a lot of sense. I remember something about how bricklayers retained their strength well into old age, and it was all in how they learned to use their joints for more efficient movement

I'm so incredibly sad that I only discovered Chu Song Tin now. I would have come to China just to learn from him if he would have been alive today.

MMAis not a real fight. Its a show business where rules save you more than the opponent's inability. Moreover, how many wing chun practitioners have actually realized what the grandmaster is saying here. Looks like you cannot process anything important and worthy.

reded lipstick - Hi, there is a lot of information about Sigung Chu on youtube, at our website (look up Sung Wing Chun on google) or if you want to ask questions you can email me at sungwingchun@mail.com. Unfortunately he did not have any qualified students who are actively teaching in the USA, if you are dedicated to learn you can always come and visit us in England or alternatively his students in Hong Kong. Email me if you want to discuss, Dan

With all due respect to Master Chu, I don't think the pursuit to a faster nim Tao is a worthy pursuit. Why does a black walnut or an oak take longer to grow than a popel? Ng Mui may have asked the same question.

Rest well...It looks as if Ip Man used breathing and alignment. Ip Chun used perhaps breathing & dynamic tension.-Ernie Moore Jr. 小念頭 seems to wind the muscles in a natural contraction. Short moves to break the wound muscle to make it longer and less tense.-Ernie Moore Jr. Lengthen the muscle and anchor from ground to ankle, from ankle to knee, from knee to hip, from hip to waist, from waist anchor spine bones one after the others. Force is generated by thought at any moment...-Ernie Moore Jr. The in-between are tension the change and ends relax tension and release force, change speed. Squeeze the arms and chest and body and legs and feet and neck refining the muscles squeezing or wringing-out the tension to be stronger and more durable while thinner-like a woman's sinewy strength, for faster and firmer and more effortless, perhaps.-Ernie Moore Jr. Rest-In-Peace-EMJ

@@rikkich5357 Unless you can show me proof, Bruce Lee relied on typical plyometrics and not training the myofascial system that would allow someone to be relaxed but at the same time substantial and explosive.
