Big thanks to Chronosphere, for sponsoring this tournament. My favorite game was between Andrey and Shijiao, on Deep Sea. Such a close game. I didn't think that Shijiao could come back, but the Emperor's Rage saved him at just the right moment. Really good games overall too.

Andrey had such an amazing showing. Poor guy, those tournament nerves are brutal, he choked on a few games but then composed himself and came back for more. This speaks volumes on a person's mental resilience.

I really loved the play from everyone in this event! A ton of fun and different games. Even the Tengu spam games had their variety. Andrey brought a whole variety to the event and I enjoyed all of his games.

I put a ton of work into this event but it wouldn't have happened without everyone involved!

Never thought I would be rooting for Allies, lol. This games are a lot of fun, tengu snowball is really strong, but not unbeatable. Thank you for casting!

thank you sybert for casting this amazing tournament. too bad that we neither had much soviets’ gameplay nor dimon :( zugspitze is totally op! reminds of the recent dimon’s perfomance as the empire against dutcharmy in the masters’ tournament finals. it also reminds of the 2021 christmas tournament. cheers to andrey showing some cool macro play (when not cheesing)

I thought allies is overpowered as a faction. It looks like it's not entirely the case. The skill ceiling of Empire is just as high or higher, it might just be harder to reach.

No, its just Allied Anrey tried to cheese (again) several times and got punished. As was mentioned by Sybert (i believe, in the end), there goes a more competetive game, when Andrey plays careful and solidly.

Is Zugspitze the current best Empire RA3 player? Some absolutely insane playing from him this tournament. Thanks to Sybert and the commentators + Chronosphere for putting this awesome set of games together!

You know the answer already. Tengus is the one thing that can match Allies' high points in terms of strength. But Empire has only one such point while Allies have many. Players just became too complacent and reliant on air power and turrets for easy wins. But overconfidence is a slow and incidious killer.

Man, Andrey just didn't commit enough into that MCV freeze snipe. He should have just parked one or two Apollos on top of that MCV, that way OP would have to be forced to kill his own MCV by shooting down an Apollo. Hell, Andrey could even have done so by shooting down his own Apollo before the Tengus arrived.

Andrey could've just held those first two games with one or maybe two multigunners near his airfield.

Assault destroyer + javelins or ifvs seem unbreakable by tengus alone. Would like to have seen more ifvs from the allies in general.

Looking at resources gathered seems allied always at a economical disadvantage in the early game most likely due to slower structures building out of the 3 factions. Seems to be especially true in AvE where empire deploys 2 refinerys same time and gets em up way earlier then allied gets their 2nd refinery. So it seems like empire has to push their early game advantage by harrasing with tengus/infantry and controling the skies with a critical amount of tengus denying allied from abusing vindies/cryos or push 3rd/4th refineries earlier then the allied player and out eco them in the macro game. Cause if allied is even or ahead in resources gathered first 5 mins of the game they pretty much guaranteed to win due to how cost effective their air units can be and how strong their t3 units seem to be relative to the other factions.
