Zag isn't exactly the gullible type, though, and I don't think he'd just believe someone saying "oh, I'm your sister from 30 or so years in the future, by the way, have someone take a look at those pieces of Chronos sprinkled through Tartarus, he's about to reform."

@@ezekielbaskerville2710 You say that but a trait he inherited from his father (beyond the sense of humor and combat style and whether he likes it or not) is that he is a rather good judge of character, a good example is how fast he noticed that the Olympians considered the Underworld deities below them and that they weren't exactly completely trustworthy, so I believe that a time travel to the first game wouldn't work the way Kronos intended, it could even be a setup for his final defeat.

I like the idea that Time is an almighty power that you need to have some connection to yourself and be not caught unaware in order to combat. That’s why Melanoe doesn’t get one-shot, her godly powers/being revolve around the moon, a symbol of passing time, she has been taught how to deal with all sorts of magical powers before, AND she’s not un-aware. It would explain how someone as terrifyingly powerful as canonical Zagreus who has beaten his own Father up to 10+ times would lose to Chronos so easily-

Okay so I heard a theory and I'm starting to come around on it. We have now confirmed that the satyrs were worshiping chronos and that is what the ritual they were trying to perform in the temple of styx was about. However zagreus a God who had powers tied to rebirth revitalization after dying and blood started charging through the place wielding weapons that were being upgraded with Titan blood. So while their rituals were being stopped they got a new idea to eventually steal Zagreus armory of fully upgraded arms and used the titan magic and essence charged in them to revitalize chronos. It also feels like it could potentially have been a punishment by the fates upon the House of Hades for zagreus getting reincarnated against their will but I doubt that they would put themselves in a position where they wouldn't be in control unless they also foresaw that they would be rescued.

Hades was right to do those things though, and is by all accounts a very just King. Meg and her sisters torment terrible people, Sisyphus was a Tyrant King who violated the rules of Hospitality and slaughtered his guests for amusement, and Achilles and Patroclus were warmongers who annihilated numerous towns surrounding Troy. None of the examples you gave represent inherent unjust acts, and even if those things you said were bad, Chronos clearly has no intention of being "better" than Hades, as evidenced by his allowance of the dead to roam the surface. Chronos is not even slightly in the right, not every story needs a morally grey villain.

Even Mel tells Hades she has a chance one-on-one (compared to 6 gods taking him all at once in the first war) because she is empowered by the boons of the other gods, so even she admits her base state would not likely be enough 99% of the time.
