CHRONO TRIGGER - COMPLETE SOUNDTRACK ON PIANO

#ChronoTrigger #YasunoriMitsuda #ChronoCross
The Ultimate Chrono Trigger Piano Collection: the full soundtrack on piano!
I don't know what else to say...the OST speaks for itself. Yasunori Mitsuda and Nobuo Uematsu are both geniuses (and Noriko Matsueda even did a track!). I put a TON of work into this; these arrangements are not easy to play. That said, I would REALLY appreciate it if you would share this video with people you think would enjoy it :) aaand subscribe if you haven't already :D

Yep. There's something so therapeutic about Chrono Trigger. It takes you through an emotional journey as you play. All of these wide, grand, triadic voicings, but then you get little folk melodies like "Guardia Millennial Fair" or "Robo's Theme," and it brings you back home, where your mother gives you a big hug. I played the heck out of this game when I was having health issues, and it was like playing inside a painting.
I don't know what motivated you to do this, but I'm very grateful that you did. This soundtrack has been my favorite collection of music since I was 10 years old and your piano arrangements are some of the best renditions of this music I've heard.

The compulsion to create...called them into battle...and I'm sure this endeavor was a MASSIVE undertaking. They said "Yes, I will do this [Really Hard Thing]. I'm gonna do it." *Does it. To hear this OST arranged with such care and precision warms my heart to the core! Like another commenter, I found this game when I was going through a rough time... Specifically a traumatic childhood. The OST was one of the only things that brought me joy. The variety and complexity of the tracks, the contrast between the melancholy and euphoric, gave me comfort and hope to continue living when I knew only pain. Wow. What a treat! Thank you! The whole album is terrific, and there are so many surprising moments. Your love for the soundtrack shows in your sensitive arrangement, phrasing, and dynamics. Often, when I hear arrangements of soundtracks like this, I think, “That was nice, but next time I’ll just listen to the original.” But here you managed to capture not just the melody and chords, but the emotion-the essence of the songs. So beautiful, and so satisfying. Several times I felt like I was hearing what Mitsuda and Uematsu have been trying to tell me for decades, but couldn’t because of the hard limits of the SNES’s S-SMP chip. I’ll never hear Silent Light the same way again. Black Omen was similarly stunning. Also I love that you included the “mysterious box” zinger. Nice. Thanks again!

Absolutely beautiful. Classic after classic. No doubt the best video game soundtrack ever. And great costume to boot! 😺 EDIT: Gotta call out that left hand on World Revolution.
Super talented player. And what a great choice, Chrono Trigger the greatest sound track of all time maybe. as someone who plays music and guitar i appreciate the little things you strive to keep in the songs, little melodies in the back ground that you might not always be able to keep going because of limitation of two hands but you bring back in when you get free space. Very cool.

Unbelievably, incredibly, amazing. Every single intricate musical detail of every song, even some instrumental voices and flourishes that I thought impossible to emulate on piano, and you've somehow done it without missing a single beat across what seems like endless layers, and all in one playthrough at that. Thank you John!!!
Excellent work, lass. I've been listening to your whole Chrono Trigger album and you certainly do it justice. Thank you for sharing with the rest of us this beautiful music.
Thank you so much, this could not have been easy (no matter how effortless you made it look). You are incredibly talented. Tears came to my eyes as To Far Away Times began... I could feel your excitement to finish your marathon! And in a stunning Marle/Nadia cosplay no less. You are incredible, thank you once again for sharing your gift and passion with us.

At the bottom of the night remains one of the most important pieces of music for me personally, and this rendition is incredible. Great job on the entire album, truly worthy of the Mitsuda's greatness
I'm just speechless and tearing up... Thank you. Truly

Thank you :) 'tis my most popular video, so I'm pretty happy about that :D
I keep coming back to this video from time to time. Not only is this one of the best and greatest OSTs of all time, but the way you play it, so respectful and with visible passion, is simply astonishing.

Thanks for continuing to listen
Thank you for making this! It's more than incredible talent that makes it great, I really felt your love and understanding of the source material. Especially during Battle with Magus, Schala's Theme, To Far Away Times, Determination, At the Bottom of Night, Corridors of Time, Delightful Spekkio, World Revolution...I could go on, this was so great!
Wow, you are VERY good at piano. Your left hand voicings are incredible! Going to check out your other stuff, too :D
