Met chronixx on a street in London which I never would have taken usually but this day I did. I thought to myself that guys head looks like chronixx , when I actually got closer I realised it was the man himself. I stopped and greeted him and his security were approaching but he kinda said to them its cool , spoke to me and stuff it was crazy.

He got seriously ill one Friday afternoon 2 years ago,was rushed to ICU and was cleared, 2 days later i was at my desk and found myself listening to this particular video and my colleagues were like 'are you rasta farra today?' and i just laughed, that same day my bro passed on and i knew he was telling me goodbye through reggae and i have loved chronixx collection especially this one.thank you.

Honestly, a lot of times I just sit and think about " what i would say to Chronixx if i ever meet him", which i know i will of course...Eventually! Honestly Chronixx is the only artist I listen to religiously (morning, noon, night, study, bathe, cook, anytime! This mix specifically is always playing). Right now, I just want to see him to tell him thanks....Thanks for good meaningful music, thanks for getting me through everyday problems. Thanks for helping me to become more humble. Words can't explain the influence Chronixx has made on my life. A lot of people wouldn't even believe me when I tell them how this man I've never met, but through his music has impacted me. My own dad repeatedly asks me if "Chronixx a mi puppa" because I'm always listening to his music, always quoting him! When my friend met him, she went crazy, wishing I was there. +Barbiiee360 I had the pleasure of meeting him July 2015 at a concert in Orlando FL He was humble and warm...we had to wait ten minutes to meet him. Before and after each show he meditates and prays. Jah comes first for him, Nuff respect for his faithfulness. His music is additive...It's my drug.

I'm not being derogatory Matt I said 'many youth' which means 'not all'. I spend time with a lot of youth who are amazing, high achieving individuals, but sorry to say practically all of them listen to what they are force fed in the media, I have challenged them to play me something without 'Nigga, fuck and bitch in it they laughed when they realised they would have to delete their whole play list lol Maybe you are around lots of youth that listen to something conscious let me know what it is I'm definitely interested to learn. I suppose I am a member of the "youth" community as I am only 17, I can assure you not all of us listen to that sort of music, I love Protoje, Chronixx and many other reggae artists, I also like a variety of electronic music and many other genres such as classic rock, sometimes the Beatles, it varies... However on the other hand I do like Wiz Khalifa and 50 Cent and perhaps other, yet perhaps older rappers such as Tupac, there's nothing wrong with "Nigga, fuck and bitch" but I completely agree, now-a-days the music lacks meaning and purpose and is about promoting bullshit. I suppose the reason for young people not listening to other types of music is the fact that none their friends do, and as you said - the media... But quite honestly pop music is just that, as far as i'm aware pop music has always been popular for young people, hence the name "pop" and it has (again, as far as i'm aware) been looked down upon by their parents as a meaningless piece of music... Though i'm having trouble imagining someone like Lil Wayne being remembered in the same way as the Beatles, Pahaha :') - Peace

Yes Matt, I agree with all you have said, I am a big music fan and like you I like a lot of variety and understand that the pop music industry market is targeted to young people and boundaries have always been pushed with each generation. My son is 18 and him and his mates don't have a wide range, just the same mundane, meaningless American music, with the same beat, scenarios, videos and lyrics over and over, in my opinion no skills like Chronixx. I have to hear Trap music non-stop, and after an hour of Young Thug, Bobby Smurda and Fetty Wap etc I feel brain dead lol I more look down on the dumbing down of music because people aren't encouraged to write skilfully any more, rap skilfully or play an instrument and I have actually wondered if my son will be playing the likes of Big Sean 'I don't Give a Fuck' to his children and grand children when he's older? We have spoken about it I guess the likes of Chris Brown and Drake will be the future equivalent of 'The Beatles!
