Rebecca C I feel you... I’m always fatigued, which makes it hard to concentrate in class and still get all A+’s, and not to just shut my eyes and fall asleep. I get the bare minimum amount of sleep, which doesn’t help, and just... agh. It sucks, and so does brain fog.

Well actually an old herpes simplex infection could re-ignite when sick. Causing you to feel like you have a flu all the time. But for me I only got proper diagnosis when I realised what I had was not CFS. CFS is a symptom, not a proper diagnoses. The underlying cause was a depletion of my adrenals. My cortisol levels were almost zero, I was almost dying. I was so tired that I was yawning non stop. Some yawns would last minutes and tear my mouth and make me drool and almost vomit. It is like when you ran a marathon and you are going to vomit. Exact same thing that happens in the adrenals after long periods of stress (work, degree, bad food, alcohol, deficiencies, lack of sun, disease, heartbreak,...). Basically cortisol and adrenaline are out of whack. Adrenaline is too high causing constant stress and adrenaline fizzing in your blood, in the hands. What I really needed was extreme rest because I almost dropped dead by the time I made it to the doctor. Also, leaky gut, iron deficiency, fungi, were more causes of my adrenal crisis. I fell of my bike once due to exhaustion. I was always angry too. I got deep rest, dropped any work ambition, and started eating well and enjoy life more. Never had an adrenal crisis again.

Yes, brain fog - suddenly having no idea how the tool you are using at your job works, right in the middle of using it, when you've been using that kind of tool for a couple decades. And then you discover you can't remember where you live, you know what your house looks like but have no clue where it is, and you start to fear you are having a stroke. And several hours later the ER doctor says, have you ever heard of chronic fatigue?

Ah, I do not understand how it took me a year, but maybe it is your mention with ER-doctor. Mine was totally ass****. But if ME can cause so strong brain fog moments....I call them confusion. And it is pretty scary experience. You realise that you are not normal, but you still can not avoid of all the mistakes and sounding like totally different person. I thought that migraine could cause similar symptoms. But I never had headache. I even thought that I could be experiencing a stroke. But luckily it wasn't. Anyway, thank you for your share!!!!

This is why we need another name for this crippling illness. The word 'fatigue' suggests merely tiredness. But sufferers are not just tired, at its worst they they are incapacitated almost to the point of paralysis. Someone who cannot move and can only barely think or speak is hardly 'a little tired.'

So pretty convinced now. But I did familiarise myself with ME/CFS and my heart goes out to everybody suffering from it! Absolutely horrible illness!!! Hope that the recent Long-Covid outbreak will be recognized as the same illness and quick scientific research will brink help!!! The only thing that was able to get me back on my feet was less stress, exercise, a healthy diet, and a healthy relationship. I had to cut out so many toxic foods from my diet.

This is not quite accurate. It is more like having the flu like ache allover your body. You're not sleepy , but you're exhausted and ache allover. There is some relief from resting or sleeping , but within minutes of rising , the symptoms return. I have lived with this now since 1992. I work and live everyday with this disease. I had a long period of symptom free living between 2001 and 2008 , and thought that I was cured . There is no cure , but , over time you learn to cope with it and work around it.

So true about the exhausted but not sleepy aspect of ME/CFS. I hate resting as I feel so buggered but lying down feels like my body still doesn't rest as such, & in so much pain. And yet lying down becomes not an option as my muscles get so weak & I am too fatigued to do anything. 17 yrs of this & I still haven't adjusted, nor am I able to work. Driving is unsafe most of the time as my muscles can suddenly give way after fighting the exhaustion for too long, & my brain is SOOO foggy that watching short KZread clips & writing comments seems to be my limit (I need help with executive function, memory, problem solving etc). To go from a dux student to not even able to help little kids with their homework or fill out a form without help is frustrating. I'm so thankful for Google maps to help with getting around...even after finding out GPS tech was invented purely to track ppl's whereabouts & not actually for the purpose of helping civilians 😅 My fiancé can fall asleep within 1-2min if he's feeling tired & wants a nap, & then feels fine...I find it a battle not to feel jealous 😫 Not sure if others with ME/CFS feel that same frustration. It is such a relief knowing there are others who understand this condition, as it feels less isolating, even though I wish no one was suffering with it.

In foreign countries, there is a concept of chronic fatigue syndrome, so there is a video like this, but in Korea, doctors and civilians do not have that concept, so there is only a misunderstanding of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome, and there is no room for improvement. For your information, I also have chronic fatigue syndrome. (For example, the severity of the disease) The woman who was doing her PhD at Harvard in the video at TED said that if the severity of the disease was four or five, The severity of my illness belongs to the third stage, but it is the same that my daily life is difficult and social life is impossible.

It got worse... I want a beautiful magenta velvety coffin surrounded by lavender flowers to sleep in forever 🌠🌙.

This video only starts to cover the differences. Chronic fatigue is a symptom of another illness, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME/CFS) is a whole condition on its own with many varying and horrible symptoms as well as fatigue, such as extreme pain, headaches, sore throats, swollen glands, anxiety, depression, brain fog, nausea, heart palpitations, flu-like problems and ironically sleeping problems such as insomnia. To name a few. Many people with ME/CFS will tell you that fatigue is often the least of their problems as it becomes the norm day to day. I have this disease and I always just call it ME. The reason being that saying 'chronic fatigue' to people makes them say this exact thing: 'oh yeah i have that i'm tired'. But saying ME makes it sound like a scary disease they've never heard of, which gives you time to explain. I've had it for 7 years and it's put my entire life on hold. It sucks.

I find that something like yoga is the easiest to do if you want to exercise but also just standing up can be better than nothing. I also have chronic pains so most exercise causes pain too which is why I go for low impact, low cardio yoga.

Dudes, as someone who's been sick for 2 decades, I appreciate the effort to help bring awareness, but there are some key issues here. First and maybe most importantly, um, you got the NAME WRONG. "Chronic fatigue" is not a disease, it's a symptom of many different diseases and viruses-- so unless you were trying to make a vid about a symptom verse a feeling, you missed the mark. The name of this disease is called myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) Calling it by the right name is vital-- basically everyone has "chronic fatigue"--that's what most people consider tired, which is why they respond with what you wrote at the end l: "I'm tired too!" MECFS isn't feeling tired all the time: it's severe muscle weakness to the point that 1/4 of us can't walk and are bedridden. It's constant muscle and joint pain, nausea and dizziness, migraines, sleep issues, light and sound intolerance, and major cognitive impairment-- those are just some of the bad ones.. really. I say this with good intentions and I'm happy you're trying to bring awareness to this disease. But if you're going to go after it, start at least with an accurate baseline and get the name right. Someone with mecfs would KILL to have a life where "chronic fatigue" were the only thing we were up against. I am happy to help, or refer you to a hundred different people with moderate to severe mecfs, who could help make a more accurate video about this devastating disease. We need it-- and I do thank yall for tying. There is a lot of misinformation out there so I just want to try and offer up the truth about this thing from someone who knows it well. Thank you again.

now the cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is found: radiation of microwaveoven.(magnetron) To stop you have to eliminate the oven out of the house. The plug out of electricity net because the oven has also radiation when it is not in use.And out of the house because the oven has a high voltage capacitor. The distance between an oven and a person is very important. After a 2 weeks without microwaves health becomes better.

It can be kind of cured with amfetamin or cocaine but it's nothing i would recomend if your mental state is at the bottom. It will swing you down 10 times harder. Not by only using now and then but since cocaine is a painkiller it's easy to get stuck if you're in pain mentally....
