Sir, can you please explain how n-π* transition occurs in aniline ? As there is no pi bond in between carbon and nitrogen.

Pi system is needed and also if u provide lone pair to benzene then double bond formed between the N and B these are from vogel...book

the chromophore and auxochrome absorb in the UV not the Visible which is why it's colorless
