Chrome Vinyl Wrap Techniques
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Chrome vinyl is always a challenge. This type of vinyl wrap is vulnerable to permanent damage if the film is either creased, heated or stretched even slightly too much and it will not recover. It is also very limiting in how much you can stretch it. Learn how to wrap a door by using this video to show you techniques.

You my friend are the Bob Ross of wrap! I just finished the build on my 98' Firebird and I'm exited to try my hand at wrap. Appreciate the hours of knowledge you share! Can't wait to learn more from you.
@CKWraps @CK Wraps 26:48 hahaha. Sorry if I didn't compromise the quality of my work, while providing you with endless amounts of knowledge and entertainment, for no other reason than pure selflessness. You rock, man! Love the videos!
I like his honesty about how difficult it is and stressful. Would like to see more close ups. Wish he would do one on Jeep door handles if they can be wrapped with the weird recess.
CK, you had to be a surgeon in a past life. I really enjoy your meticulous detail to every edge, key hole and corner. Wish you the best in 2023 and I can't wait for the next video.
This is the exact color I was looking for.
Amazing you were able to work those wrinkles without heat bro. Bravo! Gonna use my spray way more after seeing this
I’ve watched so many of your videos and it’s given me the confidence to actually wrap my car in the spring
Appreciate the tips. The inlays on the fender visible at the beginning are helpful, especially if you haven't wrapped a third generation NSX. Thank you.

Thanks!
i love you videos man , coz u don"t cut or make any changes on it , and u show everything , mistakes and how to fix it , much respect from Tunisia Man

great job!!!!
Good job bro, Amazing color! Ciao from Sardinia island
great content! I need to get into a class soon before spring in BC. id like to learn about post heating. stretching over corners and how much extra heat radius can help with getting less fade/colour loss. I see ppl using torches and curious of the post work and finishing tips. got some vvivid on the way to practice
Amazing work! Awesome color! I have a 2010 Lexus LS460, wanted to try wrapping for the first time. What would you say the hardest parts to wrap are? Also, gloss vinyl vs satin or does it not matter?
Hi I have watched a lot of your videos they are great stuff and tried searching your channel, I'm wrapping my own car but in your videos I can't find a video on wrapping a door with a full top colour frame around the window I'm just wondering if you have any and do you have any of wrapping a smaller car I have an Opel Corsa c thanks in advance and your work is awesome
Hi I'm new to your channel I learned a lot. I like your channel you do some awesome work. Can you show us a very good close up when you cut the vinyl let say between the hood and the fenders. Do you leave a bit on the edge or do you cut right at the edge then use the heat gun to place it. (seal it).
Wow amazing.. I like it
One thing I'm curious about is how you manage client's expectations given the material's limitations.

As installers we will usually notice the really small details which are commonly not seen by untrained eyes. Letting the customer know that certain films have greater limitations will show them that you're knowledgeable. It's never a good thing to pretend that something will be better than it is. Most people appreciate the honesty and it gives them the opportunity to make a sound decision.

What do you or can you actually do against the film being static after pulling the backing and / or protective cap?
Bro what is the optimal temperature for wraping ? Thanks.
What storage rack do you use that measures the vinyl?
I decided to take on wrapping my car after watching your vids - so far have done two panels (right fender and hood) okay. However, what I have found is that the last 5% of the wrap bunches up real bad w/ fingers and is hard to squeegee out. Do you have any tips or know what I am doing wrong?
Never going to do this but gonna watch the whole thing anyway just to know how... just in case😂
I’ve been wrapping for about 3 years now and I tried chrome once and it was extremely difficult, does the tack reducer help ? What brand do you recommend?
Saludo desde PR 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
What's the ideal heat gun temperature? Does it depend on what kind of wrap you use? Thanks!

It varies from different brands & finishes. You can also read the way the Vinyl Reacts to the heat such as creases, smoothing, Touch and etc. Good indicators as well.

I have my heat gun set to 1,000F which is the hottest setting on mine. Then I use distance to control the heat against the film.

Have you trained enough people to consider opening up business somewhere else? Like coming to the states to a popular area that welcomes wraps. I would be very interested in you coming through and wrapping my vehicle

I was months away from moving to the states and then covid stopped the world. I'm still planning to come down and my immigration lawyer has everything in order but it will be a couple of years. We just had twin boys who are 3 months old and a 16 month old girl. It's difficult to move right now.

With this type of film you really want to avoid stretching from a point on the inside of the panel that's being wrapped due to getting a line in the film. It's better to pull it tightly across as a whole to try avoiding any lines or marks in the film
Glad I'm not the only one that stresses and procastinates. I always say, ya I can do that. Then I say, why am I doing this.

Can you do a whole video on CLEANING? IT seems to me that 80% of wrapping is cleaning, but you only show the final clean with isopropyl. This is so important, and it needs to be done systematically. Wrapping itself is a doddle compared to cleaning. I mean I guess you have guys that do that, but most of us dont have that luxury.
