Tsukasa isn't inherently evil or is even really a terrible person. He's only the antagonist because of a conflict of ideals. He's not necessarily a villain.

There's a point to be made that he might not have actually died if he fell. The world record high dive is 192 ft, and this waterfall is probably the same, if not less. The biggest point to him surviving is that it's a waterfall he's jumping into, which means a deep pool at the bottom, so he isn't going to hit the bottom to fast and die. It also means the water is moving and incredibly aerated, which means that the surface tension is close to zero, so it won't be like dropping on to concrete. Him surviving is much more realistic than Tsukasa's inhuman strength.

You have a point there and on top of that the indigenous rock that shown has no point to smooth down so it's not slate or some other rock that when it breaks terminates in sharp Jagged points which means that the bottom is probably a very deep pool as sedimentary rock is made it carved out in more bowl shaped as it goes down the river the fact that there's a multitude of trees growing up and down and around the waterfall also lends Credence to the fact that the ground is very porous which would mean that a waterfall that size and consistency would have carved a very deep Channel along the path

I still get flash backs to starcrafts season 5 episode 11 and season 7 final and break out in a cold sweat whenever I hear Thomas the tank engine....

Chrome was already my favorite character but this moment cemented it.

I always thought it was poetic irony that Tsukasa started a war in order to stop Senku from developing weapons, inadvertently pushing Senku to develop weapons even faster.

I love how you could read in Chromes face that, while he was initially surprised that they’d drop him immediately after his answer, he also knew that they weren’t bluffing and knew full well what his answer would entail. Though, of course, it turns out they were bluffing after all.

He stared into the abyss and didn't blink. There goes a legend in the making.

The real question is how did that stick holding chrome not break

Zteam It does. But it does become lethal after like 20 meters if you bellyflop. But if the water is deep enough and you're a perfect lander you can jump from up to 50 meters. Over that and then deceleration will also become lethal

@@chizack6259 It was a waterfall as well so the water would've been moving, softening his fall further but there were a buncha sharp rocks and its rly difficult to escape from a waterfall so he mightve just drowned

I love how the senior leadership of the Tsukasa empire are all reasonable people. As in, they _do_ understand science and can be theoretically reasoned with. This one detail allows for a nuanced exploration of his ideas. He's not a brute trying to indiscriminately destroy science because he doesn't understand it, but he is trying to restrain it because he knows full well the danger its capable of - that's a lot more relatable a motive than "Hurr durr I'm a caveman so I want to keep this a caveman world."

Chrome came out living because he earned Tsukasa's respect for his loyalty towards the science kingdom.

This scene was so eye catching>.< Props to everybody working on this

My respect for Chrome shot through the roof during this scene. He’s a man devoted to his mission and his views.

Humanity will eventually rebuild, rediscover, and reinvent. All Tsukasa can "achieve" is making the process slower, more costly, and lacking the wisdom to use the knowledge. IF he somehow wins, Humanity will have to learn every lesson again. Every mistake will be repeated. The lessons bought with blood will be lost, to say nothing of the culture preserved in the brains he will shatter, the minds he will abandon, and the followers he will order to ignore what they knew.

Already millennia ahead of where Tsukasa would have them and all their descendants live, but Senku is just getting started. By the time Tsukasa lives out his natural lifespan (based on 21st century predictions) Senku will be able to eat a 5 course meal that would literally be too rich to stomach for the meatheads right now. With stainless steel , dishwashers, and leather backed seats while listening to a radio drama.

I love it how silence that fall was 🤣😂and chrome you gained so much respect after that. 😤👍

Looking at it, I wonder when tsukasa's gonna figure out the truth. Humanity made those weapons that "tarnished" the world because other people kept making bigger weapons, becoming threats to eachother. Humanity made it's first tools to defend itself from threats. And now... tsukasa is that threat. He's the one forcing senku to develop these weapons again.

If throwing one person off a cliff could prevent countless deaths, I wouldn't mind even if that person was me. in the world of science, you have a teenager throwing trees and archery so perfect it will land on the hood of a persons clothes

The animation and artsyle look so much cleaner in season 2

Following that, what happened afterward really starts to make as to what Nikki was saying about them not entirely loyal to Tsukasa when Ukyo directly lies to Tsukasa and Hyoga. Either Ukyo is as some might think is trying to trick Chrome into trusting him then stab him in the back later, or as Chrome surmises, he is attempting some kind of coup against the Tsukasa Empire. Either way, Ukyo has something to gain from lying about what Chrome, Magma, and Gen were doing. Meaning there is a chance Tsukasa Empire will be dealing with the Kingdom of Science and infighting among his own ranks.

Like the look of respect Tsukasa has for Chrome after that display
