That episode was literally 20 years ago.

The South Park creators cite this interview as their reason as to why they parodied Christopher Reeve saying that he was entitled and "f--- him". I can't find the third part so maybe it's in there but I can't find whatever they found so offensive about the interview.

He was Paralysed but there are different levels of Paralysis. He was Paralysed from the Neck down meaning that not only could he not move his Arms or Legs, but he also couldn't move his Head or control his Lungs and needed a Ventilator to Breathe as a result.

I remember breaking down emotionally when I heard Chris had passed. I was only 18 in 2004 but he made part of my childhood so memorable, he was a true superhero. RIP to the legend Christopher Reeve.

I know I'm probably PMS'ing, but this still makes me tear up for some reason. He just seemed like such a heartwarming person and still the best Superman.

He is truly a legend, his story would be an amazing film. I miss him so much and I wish that he lived long enough to walk and to see our new President.

i remember watching this live on a hotel room TV when i was on vacation visiting family in Puerto Rico. my mom explained to me the accident he had the year i was born and how the president was blocking the research and treatments that would help him with his injury so he had to travel to other countries to receive them. as an avid south park fan, it's pretty wild coming back and watching this all these years later now that both these gentlemen are dead. RIP 👼

You got a point. As entertaining as South Park, Matt and Trey have done nothing for humanity in general. You can argue laughter, but TV has evolved since 1997. And there's more laughter in current events (thanks to Trump) than any scripted satire.

He wasn't horrible he just wasn't the best, Hollywood producers wanted him to be an action star after Superman, and that probably would have been the best deal for him because his acting was action movie level.
