@@MENDNZ Yeah and how would you do that? First thing you would need everyone to get equipment to collect rainwater from their roofs, sounds pretty expensive to me and these days no one can afford anything. Second thing, you'll need to put cameras in peoples bathrooms so you can tell them off if they flush. If you want to not flush you can do that but the government can't control what you do with your toilet, and they can't control whether you buy stuff for your roof to collect rainwater. All those ideas would do for us is leave all the people who can't afford these things behind, which is the majority of people. We live in New Zealand not the United Arab Emirates, please remember that. Something these Greens often forget.

The Te Reo version is a tiny less than 500 words document while the English version is double the size but still tiny at 1000 words. There is nothing in there about Co-governance, Health care, water rights or any other complete BS that has popped up since about the 1970's. There is only vague references to land ownership with no detailed charter about who owns what. All so called Crown land today is owned by all Kiwis ironically including Maori who are NZ citizens that vote in the modern democratic government that is tasked to oversea that land.

Is Maori business government business? Government needs to act inclusively representing many races and cultures now in New Zealand. Previous government caused great division with a mantra of lies and woke polictics caring little about freedom and justice and following a foreign WHO agenda and WEF 17 global government SNGs. So the big problem that Maori has to overcome is that for the majority of New Zealanders, most of their interaction with Maori is negative. Be it being intimidated by window washers at road junctions, physically threatened (as I have been) by thugs in south Auckland, monthly reports of domestic violence and the highest rates of child abuse and infant murder in the OECD, it’s a big hurdle to overcome. Instead of demanding everything under the sun that they believe they’re entitled to, they should instead get their house in order. Maybe other New Zealanders like me would then be more willing to listen to them. With rights come responsibilities.

@@MENDNZ YAY! About time we had something more than rain and coldness. Dunno where you live but if it's that warm maybe I should move there. Oh - and 100,000 years? Yeh right!! Have a Tui. According to Al Gore the world should have been under water by now. And I wonder why he and Obama and the rest all buy beach front properties. It's a mystery! Shame about the education system though - taught WHAT to think not HOW to think. People are so easily brainwashed these days. Seriously. Climate is the main fear of young people. They haven't lived long enough to see that hysteria isn't science.

There is nothing to worry about folks. Let the government do what it will. Maori will always have longevity, unlike those who are in parliament currently, which is ever temporary. Maori have withstood all obstacles that have been railroaded against them, don't even sweat it fam. Let National have their 15 minutes of fame. As I say, they are only temporary. 😊

The maori wouldn't have longevity withoutwestern ideals and the so called bad "colonialism. The race name "maori" was assigned to try and get the crown to recognise the "maori" and save them from the impending threat of French colonisation. The French were well known for wiping out the current inhabitants of the land. Maybe we should give you the north island, but we take everything that colonialism and western society has brought. Organized Farming, economy, although racist Labor and maori party policies have destroyed, welfare, law, order, internet, kfc. Then let's see how much longevity you really have.

@Sir_Pickle Even if you could pull that off, you yourself and those of your ilk would never survive either. Without the people to support the many institutions you say have brought "betterment" to the indigenous masses, what would YOU have? That's right, less than those you want to give cheek about. You speak of the French being a bigger threat to Maori than the English were...they sat back and watched England try to subdue or even wipe Maori out back then and it didn't work out the way you all thought. Now...if England was the greatest superpower on earth at the time and their efforts failed, what chance did any other country have to do the same? Oh, Maori have longevity bud, you can believe that...take your internet, your KFC, your economy, your law and order...take it all...it's all useless if you have nobody buying into it...🤣🤣🤣

Its hardly like the national, act and nz first approach will bring people together, especially when there is so much history of neglect towards Maori (failed promises, land grab, parihaka, baning the language in schools etc), all parties need to do better (including labour, maori greens etc) to think of ways that actually unify people
