Christopher Columbus - A Legend or a Villian?

As I sit here, reflecting on my life, I am filled with a sense of wonder and adventure. My name is Christopher Columbus, and I was born in Genoa, Italy, sometime between August 26 and October 31, 14511. My father was a wool merchant, and from a young age, I felt the call of the sea.
2 As a teenager, I embarked on my first voyage aboard a merchant ship. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of a remarkable journey that would change the course of history. In 1476, pirates attacked our ship off the Portuguese coast, and I found myself floating on a scrap of wood, washed ashore in Lisbon. It was there that I began my studies in mathematics, astronomy, cartography, and navigation, fueled by a burning desire to explore uncharted waters.
3 The late 15th century was a time of great exploration. European nations vied for wealth and undiscovered lands. The Portuguese had already set sail along the African coast, but I had a different idea. Why not sail west across the vast Atlantic Ocean instead of circumnavigating Africa? I believed that a direct water route to Asia awaited us.
[4] And so, in 1492, I set sail from Spain on my first transatlantic voyage. The winds carried me westward, and on October 12, 1492, my crew and I spotted land-the Bahamas. Although I thought I had reached Asia, I had, in fact, stumbled upon the Americas. The New World, as it would come to be known.
[5] Over the next few years, I made three more voyages across the Atlantic. I explored the Caribbean, the coasts of Central and South America, and even ventured as far as present-day Venezuela. My encounters with indigenous peoples were both awe-inspiring and tragic. I believed I had found a new route to Asia, but I had discovered something far greater-a whole continent waiting to be explored.
[6] My legacy is complex. While some celebrate my courage and vision, others rightly criticize the impact of European colonization on native populations. But one thing is certain: my journeys marked the beginning of centuries of exploration and colonization of North and South America.
[7] As I look back on my life, I am humbled by the vastness of the ocean, the courage of my crew, and the mysteries of distant shores. So, fellow adventurers, let us raise our sails and continue to explore the unknown, for there are still lands waiting to be discovered.
And that, my friends, is the story of Christopher Columbus-the man who dared to sail beyond the horizon and forever changed the course of history.

He was actually a fake Jew (Ashkenazi) with Hebrew letters on his ship. His family fled Spain after the Jewish exile and went the Genoa (Mondern day Italy). That is why he spoke Spanish and Italian. He was a Villian and that’s why they lied about his religion and who he really is. You can Google this, btw.
