This is gorgeous and the single chain stitch looks amazing, now to find some wood grain pattern paper in my stash 😄

Omg, these are fabulous! Such a labor of love for some lucky recipient! My grandmother taught me how to crochet and knit many years ago❤ sadly, I haven’t done it in years though, what a great idea to add it to the string!

Thank you so much Teresa. I used a 3.00mm hook (which is a AU/UK size crochet hook). If you're from USA you can google a conversion for the size if you want to use the same.
