Hi, its such a lovely tree and I love old fashioned Christmas trees. You so inspired me to go to the websites you showed in your buying ornaments video. I went to the sites you suggested and found others as well. Inge’s in Germany is excellent as well. I collect German and Austrian pine cone ornaments and have some from my grandmother that were an amazing shade of hot pink blown glass with a piece of tinsel inside. What a strange color I thought. However, after doing some research. I found out many of the early German ornament colors were very bright! I ordered four new pine cones and of course, one mushroom. Please tell the story about mushrooms ‘amanitas’ on the tree in Christmas and New Years decor. And of course, the Gnomes! Thanks for giving my Christmas a ‘kick start’. I live in France.

Thank you, Prince Albert for the wonderful trees and ornaments from Germany you introduced us to in Queen Victoria’s reign. The Germans excell in making the most beautiful ornaments still today 🥰

It is hard to believe we are around to this time already. I loved seeing the candle arch last year and here we are again. Jorge, that is the same reaction I have when asked if I’d like dessert with my coffee. Your tree is so sweet. I put mine up the day after our Thanksgiving. I love decorating the house for Christmas. My mother always made it such a special time. I just wish the magic fairies would come along after and put all the decorations away. Love to you both for showing all of us your lovely country and your special traditions.

Ist mir heute Morgen siedend heiß aufgefallen, nächsten Sonntag ist der erste Advent! Da habe ich heute glatt angefangen, das Haus zu schmücken. Einen schönen Christbaumschmuck habt ihr da. Sehr geschmackvoll. Gefällt mir sehr gut. Unseren Baum müssen wir noch kaufen. Es gibt noch keine. Wir schmücken ihn erst an Heiligen Abend. Tschüß bis nächste Woche! LG von Annette

Ja so haben wir es auch gemacht. Aber jetzt in Amerika fange ich früher an. Mein Speisezimmer Baum ist schon auf. Alles in rot und deutsche Sachen. Habe ein schönen roten Baum Topper von Deutschland. Und dieses Wochenende kommt der Wohnzimmer Baum. Das mache ich weiss, meisten Sachen von Deutschland. Bin von München aber wohne schon lang in Michigan. Frohes Weihnachten und Gesundheit. Margit

A very beautiful tree. All the mercury glass ornaments make it so glamorous and then the folky handmade family gifts set it off. It’s just incredible. You could take the trim you got in the mail and wrap the wreaths in the windows or place it near the very top of tree to make a tree topper frame. You did wonderful job. I’m in the spirit watching the coziness and love.

Simply stated -You both make me smile. Thank you for that. 🎄. Love the tree!

It is always a pleasure to see folk such as yourselves display such class in all that you do. The tree decorations are so festive, and overall, this video was very enjoyable. I was a youngster in the Netherlands where we celebrated St. Nicolas, and as kids, you never forget these occasions. But the most important of all, was of course, the birth of our Saviour. Thank you.

Preparations early enable us to enjoy, remember and reflect on the reason for the season. In America my family always decorate our trees the day after American Thanksgiving (always the 4th Thursday of November). Outside decorations go up mid- November... Before the Big Game Hunting Season starts and temps are still in the mid 40°s (F).

Even though there is no German in my ancestry I can't imagine Christmastime without hand-blown glass ornaments, a lighted pyramid, a cute wooden incense burner, nutcrackers, and Christmas morning stollen. I would love to sip mulled wine at a German Christmas market someday. How delightful that would be!

The tree is beautiful. I love the candle lights because they remind me of my childhood when we used to use real candles in little clip holders. No Elf and safety in days of yore. X

Kirsten, I wanted to "share a tip" ...I used to drip hot wax in my candleholders so candles sticks fit snug. But one day, I thought of using double-sided white sticky craft foam tape. You can wrap it around base of candle or put a small amount in bottom of candle holder. It holds candles very firmly. Love your beautiful ornaments, which are perfect for a cozy, elegant Christmas

Wow... fabulous ornaments...spent 4 yrs in the army at vilseck, GE back in late 1970's many yrs ago...close to grafenwer... military bases... beautiful country. Thx for the reminder and memories 💖🇺🇸

You could put the tinsel in another place in your home, such as on green garland over the fire place in your snug…it is beautiful! Joerg is right, in five years you’ll have enough for the tree. 😊

Seems like Christmas is coming early this year! I haven’t even taken my decorations out yet. The tree is lovely as always and I love it in the kitchen.

I’m glad you put it up early. We put my moms up when she got out of hospital in mid October. It makes her so happy to look at it and brings her such joy. Life is too short to worry about such things. Just enjoy it. Mary

Growing up we had German made tensil, ornaments and some Italian blown ornaments. I wish I still had them.

It is a Tradition now and so nice to see all the new ornaments added perfection indeed

Just lovely. I’m getting one of my two trees out soon also. The single strand of tinsel garland looks fine. I actually have my original vintage strand that looks nearly identical to yours except mine is silver. It was my Great Grandmother Daderdinks who came over from Germany through Ellis Island. I have several of her ornaments from Germany and England.

I really love Christmas time! I have great memories of the xmas festivities with my Italian dad, English mum, my sister and my brother!
