Wow!!! Mr. Reed said about everything I have said regarding the Philippines. I am an American that started traveling to the Philippines in January of 2008. I had no idea I was going to love the people and the country so much. My heart aches when I am not in the Philippines. I truly truly love the people and the country. Filipinos are the most warm, generous, loving, giving, and decent people I have ever met. Christmas in the Philippines is special. I wish everyone could experience it.

When life was so much simpler...

Those years where life was simple yet filled with happiness.

That was very nice my father too was stationed in the Phils during the war maybe this is one of the reasons I love going there 6 times i last 4 years.Hopefully going again in January

So many things have changed around the Cities and it's Provinces..Modern Buildings and Infrastructures are everywhere..But the Heart, The Traditions. Yes here in the Philippines when ber months arrive, its Christmas, the longest Christmas celebration and people are really thoughtful and lovely! Thank you for embracing us and our culture Sen. Rick, its very humbling to know!!!

Was delighted to see the Baguio Cathedral. Remembering my grand father and Uncles were among the people building it.

From beginning to end of your video Sen. Reed I'm teary eyed. I miss my hometown and family. My parents are both teachers and I was helping them in school before they sent for a greener pasture in the U.S. Looking at the activities in school..I miss them so much. I was gone for almost 30years serving the American people and not my own elderly parents is a big thorn in my heart that I will carry for the rest of my life. Thank you for appreciating our culture..the music really made the picture more appealing to the viewers. More power to you Sen. Reed and God Bless Always.

Those songs were representations of how simply beautiful the Philippines then. Now you hardly hear them being played. Very pleasing to the ears lolos and lolas would be delighted much to reminisce these songs.

I loved it when he says: Everytime he visits Phil. he gained weight because its always merienda time..... That is how Filipinos welcomes and accommodate their friends and visitors. Filipinos had the warmest embrace and smiles for their guests and visitors as always, even the children will give you that warm smiles and welcoming.

I am pilipino and I always amaze about christmas eve! When I was young I have so many memory about christmas. I love christmas! I love caroline! I love night or early morning mass at the church. Mr Senator Reed thank you for introducing our country is one of the happiest country most this when christmas is coming. Christmas in our Country is very colorful what ever they say of about christmas of the other religion christmas is still alive in the heart of many christian specially catholic, they dont feel the christmas in their heart because they are against about christmas. Ok the school shown here where teachers were dancing is actually the school I went to and it is so trippy how little has changed when I went there around 2008. I can't wrap my head around the fact that the Dude is narrating in full American tone and a song in my dialectnis being played. Everything about this feels surreal.
