I made Christmas cookies last week. I hadn't made sugar cookies before but love watching your videos so thought I'd give it a go. We don't really have them in the UK but they were so easy to make and taste pretty good too. Your decorations are always amazing, you have a real talent!

I have seen her answer this in other videos so I will try to repeat. In many of her older vids she did this to try to prevent the icing sort of “caving in” as it dries. If you flood a big area with icing that is too thin, the surface will collapse inward and leave a sort of hollow. She has said she prefers to use a thicker flood, these days, instead of this.
