Hi Grace! I recently started watching your videos and have been binging on them ever since. I love just how real you are. You are absolutely adorable and I love that you aren't afraid to be you. That makes you such a pleasure to watch which makes learning from you so very easy. Thank you for all you do! Lady Whitefang yeahhhhh.... I really like the design esthetic that we seem to have labeled Norwegian/Scandinavian/Nordic. But, having never been to Norway, I tend to think of you guys as the fantastic fiber foremothers. Mysterious and Majestic. :p

Lol! There might be a few "fantastic fiber foremothers" left... But not many have carried on their leagacy regarding carding and spinning I'm afraid... (My grandmother did - and my mother, when she was young... I do not know how to spinn...) But we still are a knitting nation! "Everybody" knits and does crocheing! I imagine it's similar to here, my parent's generation didn't think it was cool to do handwork so they didn't learn. But my generation is taking it up again. Is that accurate? I'd love to one day visit just to see the Knitting Nation and drink in your textile heritage. It's crazy to think my country is younger than the vast majority of your knitting patterns!

Grace Shalom Hopkins : Lol! We do have lots of textile handwork. And it's absolutely true what you say about most of our parents' generation. Now I'm quite a bit older than you (my sons are in their 20-s). So it was probably my generation who thought handwork was very uncool... But the knitting has been there all the time. My self I learned to knit and croche when I was about 5 years old, because my mum is a handwork guru. She can do everything! Has the most amazing embroideries, and a wizard with the sewing machine! But now I'm going outside to watch the fire work! Happy New Year! Love and light from Norway!

I love your video's, they inspire! I am a weaver and I want to start spinning. My goal is fine yarn but also when I know how to spin, art yarn. Could you recommend a type of wheel? I am thinking between the Majacraft Aura, Schacht Matchless or Louet Victoria with the extra flyer for art yarn. Could you help?

Thank you! It depends on you I think. If you want to spin something chunky you'll need a orifice that is either a hook to take many weights of yarn or a big hole or multiple flyers. I personally am a HUGE fan of hooks, but those tend to be more expensive. Also if you have a chance to test drive the wheels you should absolutely do that. They each have different personalities.
