This is great! We used to make foil bodies for the HO slot cars, and they would suffer "real" damage during the race.

Bobtoo07Thats good to know im a bit constrained with what I can do on the layout as its depicting a real location, So to add some interest I was trying to do something a bit different and the ultimate aim is to unload coal from an incoming wagon ,, load it onto a lorry and have the lorry leave the yard returning over the bridge,,, from that came the bigger circuit for a tractor chugging around the fields ,,, Then I trying to unload crates off flat wagons and have them leave by pick up / lorry,,,, There is a proof of concept video showing a goods yard crane unloading a crate,,,, the idea behind the crane is that you only have a "Push--- Pull " lever and that will LIFT TURN and LOWER ,,, the crate ,,, You have sneaky little things like grinding down the rails so as the load backs in ,,,, the wagon actually drops and so the load is just about placed onto the hook of the crane,,,,, But sadly just about impossible to get working in N gauge ,,,, so im making very slow progress ,,, but its nice to know someone appreciates that its something quite different ,,,, ,,, cheers and thanks,,,, Alan

Bobtoo07 I still have to get it to work yet,, on my 3rd motor gearbox configuration ,,, and just sent 4 hours trying to join the two ends of the transit cord and get some tension around the winding drum,,, and failed totally,,,,, back to the drawing board once again ,,,,, so don't hold your breath for progress,,,,
