Christina Ricci Barely Survived Her First Marriage | Rumour Juice

Ойын-сауық

At first, Christina Ricci gushed about how becoming a mother and wife had changed her. But her love story with James Heerdegen took a turn for the worst, and she soon feared for her life. The actress had no choice but to file a restraining order against him. The world was shocked to hear the truth of what was really happening behind closed doors, and it seemed like Christina was married to a monster.

"i have proof through her apologies" is not the flex he thinks either. lots of abusers are so demanding that their victims often feel or even just fake extreme guilt when they 'do the wrong things', because of how much abuse they receive from 'setting off' their abuser - and often times these things are just normal reactions to being abused (like abusing substances or acting out). its manipulation on top of manipulation.

I hope you got yourself the necessary therapy and all. Also, if I may say so, please be very very careful who you make your partner. It's much harder to find the right one without a good model. I grew up with domestic violence. His temper would flare at the slightest thing and then my mother would just go about her day normally the next. All of us girls (daughters) also became his targets but there is nothing you could do as a kid since parents were allowed to hit their kids back then. I am glad she got Freddie the heck out of there. The thing that happens is you sort of normalize it. The devil you know versus the one you don't. After you get out, you are still traumatized and may have PTSD.

just a note....I'm a guy and I suffered from abuse by my wife. she changed after we moved into together and had bouts of explosive rage. after 2 years, she began to try to physically attack me. I didn't hit her back because I know if the cops came she would lie and get me in trouble, so I just got out of the situation. If somebody abuses you, they won't change. do what it takes to get out. I later found she cheated on me and moved in with the guy. within 3 months they were beating each other and getting each other arrested. so GET OUT. whatever it takes.

So sorry that you experienced this abuse. It’s odd that men aren’t believed. Women can be just as broken and damaged as men. I believe that I have a male neighbor that is being abused but his girlfriend is so tiny and angelic looking that it’s doubtful that anyone would believe him. If he ever needed a witness I could only say what I’ve heard through the walls. Hopefully he leaves because she is pure evil, simply packaged in innocence.

My ex husband started beating me when I was 3 months pregnant. The first time was literally because I asked him how come other people could say what's bothering them. I was very young and stayed for 9 years despite terrible abuse and disrespect on every level, because I was hoping to keep our family together, and make things better over time. No one knew. No one. Don't ever think that you understand people and what they go through when you envy them or even passing judgment.

I also went through the same thing. My first husband was cruel and some of the things he done to me, can't even mention. I have a lot of pain in my back because of the beatings. My neck and head took a lot of trauma, as well. I"m not on disability. I weighed only 88 lbs and he weighed 180 while he was beating me. He was filled with anger. As soon as I got loose from him I started gaining weight. Anyway, I know that scared feeling. I hope she is now happy and doing well. NO one could imagine this unless they've been through it. Any man that hits a woman is nothing but an insecure coward. I know that now.

My ex husband gas-lighted me after our wedding. He was amazing before we moved in with each other but after the wedding he became dismissive and and explosive. He allowed the people in his family and friends to disrespect me. The moment that I started to realize that he was being verbally and emotionally abusive to me and our boys was when my youngest son at the age of 4 called me a stupid bitch. My son (a semi-verbal autistic individual) would never have spoken that way to me or anyone else because I've never used that language around him. I had no reason to. He didn't know what that word meant. After my daughter was born my grandfather and uncle died simultaneously and that is when the pushing and shoving started. Sometimes the abuse starts off with just words and lack of affection. After experiencing the loss of my grandfather and uncle I was diagnosed with postpartum depression and anxiety. He and his family took the children to an undisclosed house that he had another family with unbeknownst to me at the time. I got into a verbal argument with his sister involving my daughter at their school. The way I saw it was at least my then legal husband and his family would be forced to stay in the United States with the children while the legal process took over our divorce and custody battle. During the separation I had the choice to give temporary custody of our children to their dad or foster care. Of, course I chose their dad because I knew that with his and his family's actions and their background I would be able to get my children back. I was able to get my record expunged. A lot of people look down on me because of the choices that I had to make but I am not the woman that is going to back down. I guess some people think that it's not ladylike to get arrested at your child's school when you know that you have every legal and moral right to be at your child's school. You mess with me and my children you will lose. I am doing a lot better now and I am happily divorced. I was able to get my babies back and now our children have both of us. It's definitely not perfect and our children still have meltdowns over the divorce. My ex husband still needs therapy because he too suffers from mental health problems but I am getting the therapy that I need and the therapy that my children need. A lot of our issues were external but he was raised by a very abusive mother and father. It's not an excuse but I am just glad that we are apart from each other. I refuse to let my children grow up in that environment.

Wow. Their story is giving me that movie enough with jlo. The whole they fall in love and get married and he starts showing his violent side and when she was pregnant he would be abusive and she would try to get out and take her kid with her. And he would make her life hell. Wow. It's crazy how this story is like enough.

Her ex seems a little like my abusive ex.. He was abusive before my pregnancy but once I was pregnant the abuse increased.. Once I had our son the abuse was daily.. To put how the abuse increased, my son was in the hospital for 9 days because he was a premmie. The night before I was to bring him home, he broke my nose and threw a screwdriver at my stomach ripping apart my staples and causing a ongoing infection that lasted months. I'm so glad she got away... It seems some men can't share their partner even with their child... It was horrible for me.. I'm sure she was terrified.

I feel so bad for her. Sadly I have a speck of doubt because Amber Heard made claims against Johnny Depp. Luckily for him we have been able to see proof she was the abuser. The biggest reason I have been so angry with Heard was because she delegitimizes the women who are abused and come forward because it causes doubt for others. So I hope Ricci is getting therapy for all the abuse she endured and that justice is served.

I agree, Amber Heard has done a great disservice to real victims of DV. I can't help but wonder about Ricci, hopefully she is fine and so is her son. The believe all women thing has certainly taken a hit with the Depp case and by the looks of it Manson too. Probably set back the progress made for real victims by decades.

With all the false accusations that fly around these days, some people would scoff at Christina Ricci's claims and assume that she's just another Amber Heard. However, I'm 99% certain that's Christina's telling the truth. For one thing, her ex was a nobody so unlike Johnny Depp, he couldn't be used as a stepping stone to greater wealth and fame. For another, when women who may or may not have been abused were taking advantage of the Me Too movement, Christina didn't speak up even though it would have been a perfect opportunity to get out of her marriage. That tells me that she was trying to make it work instead of going for the easy way out. However, when the lockdown happened, Christina was stuck with her husband 24/7. Her decision to reveal her marital problems struck me as an act of desperation from someone who tried to handle it on her own but realised that she needed help. That makes me admire her more than I would have if she'd come out during the peak of the Me Too movement. Admitting that you need help isn't as easy as people might think and because of women like Amber Heard, Me Too has lost its momentum and isn't taken very seriously anymore.

Some children then suffer greatly and even can lose life to their unhinged father durin unsupervised visitations or 50-50 split . You would be suhocked how often it happens with the clueless family courts. Christina, consider yourself lucky 🍀
