Me and my best friend, Emma, listened to this song when we were about twelve years old, all the time together. So that we would never forget each other. We would dance together and laugh and play and be happy. Since this is basically a sad song, we decided to change the meaning and make it a happy song to us. So that when ever we listen to this we're happy and not sad. We liked it better without words. We didn't know why. We just did. I listened to this song when we didn't see each other or one of us was on a trip without the other. She said that she did the same and that made this that much more special. We met each other when we were 2 years old and instantly became best friends (our parents were friends). We had a very strong connection to each other. Until she was tragically killed in a car accident. Our friend ship lasted 17 years. This song was played at her funeral. I listen to this and remember out fun times together. I miss her so much. Rest In Peace Emma

She had gone out to the backcountry and somehow disappeared but no one really knows why or how she disappeared. She had a good future ahead of her, but just very sad all around. I think music has the ability to heal when bad things happen. Still great musicians both of these guys are. 😊

I will be walking down the aisle on April 24th (about three weeks from now) for our vow renewal. We were young I was 20 and he was 22) and we didn't have the money back in 1989. We will be celebrating 35 years and finally having the wedding we couldn't have years ago. I'm nervous but so ready for the day to come. I was putting my daughter to bed tonight, and my wife lets her listen to lulabys on pandora to calm her and this song started playing. I imdiately ran to my wife and hugged her and in that moment all i could see was us two young kids under three giant crosses on a windy hilltop, i could see her walking down the aisle and how beautiful she was. I held her cried and remembered how far we have come and all our hardships and all thats going on in the world right now, none of it mattered. All i could think about was how much i love that woman and our beautiful children and how far we have came and how proud i am of her. I love you Sarah Elizabeth.

My wife walked down the aisle to this version of the song when we got married in January 2015. It was so beautiful, and she is beyond beautiful. I love her more than life itself. She is my universe and my entire existence. She’s the air I breathe. I still dance with her to this song, and I can’t keep tears from flowing. I wish I could have more than an eternity to be with her and love her. No amount of time would be enough.

This song saved my life. I mean that literally. This time last year, I was in the deep end of depression, and was having suicidal thoughts. Had I not suggest this song to be played during the walk of my brother's wedding, I probably would not be talking about it. I have the people in my life to thank for their willing support to get me through it. God Bless.

I remember holding her as a baby, teaching her how to throw a ball to holding her when she needed a friend. During the 30 year civil war in Sri Lanka in the 90's we had no TV, no electricity, no school and no food. But as kids, we used to collect old batteries and operate a small radio and would wait till they played this piece at 9.55pm everynight before the local news. The war is now over and the country is peaceful; but nothing can takeaway the memories this piece brings. While listening to this, I remember dead bodies and the cries of a million people. I never knew the name of the piece, neither the name of the composer and neither did I know the piece was 400 years old. Thanks to KZread I found the piece after 30 years. When the batteries run out of power, we leave it in the sun to charge, as we couldn't afford to buy. Only if they heard this version, they would have stopped the war. Listening to this piece, was our only happiness during the war. Our tummies were empty, but our hearts were full.

we recently renewed our vows of 20 years in Mexico and the beach and we played this as I walked to my husband. Beautiful song and so romantic.

On april 8th 2017, i walked down the aisle to this song. Marrying the man of my dreams. That i have loved for 16 years. He stole my heart. I stole his last name. And 1 month ago we welcomed our second son into the world on aug 11. Life is great. Thank you so much for doing this song so perfectly. Keep up the hard work.

This song. The way THEY play this song is one of the most moving things I have experienced. I am not sure how I ran across it but I too chose this song for when I walked down the aisle to my wonderful husband. Being an ex ballet dancer, I FELT THIS SONG. I could envision a beautiful duet to this. This song! 😢 for the rest of my life it will be remembered as a part of the soundtrack of my story. 11.11.22, my wedding day, was a beautiful moment in time with a huge thanks to this song. So glad I found it.❤🙏🏾

I honestly that’s what I’m planning. My mother wanted the traditional “here comes the bride”, but this is the song me and my fiancé dance to all the time and sing it to each other, I done a practice already and we both tear up a little and my mother change her mind and love this version and really thinks it’s unique and perfect. My wife and I are having our wedding ceremony this April and she's walking in to this version of the song. I get teary eyed just at the thought of it. I can't wait, it'll be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in the world. Update: Thank you everyone for your kind words! We had our wedding April 25th and as expected her walking in to this tune was unbelievable. It's hard to put into words how radiant she was, so I won't even try. I didn't cry though! During our exchange of vows we wrote letters to each other from when we are 80 years old and have spent an entire life together - recalling all the struggles, good times, and how much our love for each other has grown over the years. It was extremely powerful, with even the priest and cameraman unable to hold back the tears. Love is a beautiful thing, and I hope everyone is able to find that special person to share it with. If you have, cherish it, for it truly does conquer all things.
