I saw them sing together at a Jekyll and Hyde reunion concert 8 years ago and it was AMAZING.

I am sorry but no one else holds a candle to LINDA EDER IN THIS ROLE..

Is it me or would Linda Eder make the best Elphaba ever? Someone please cast her in that show!

One of the most beautiful musical theatre pieces ever, period!

DAMN, I wish I could go back in time to that theatre and hear THAT. whew!! breathless, speechless.

This is the blueprint performance! Haven't heard any duo come close to this magic ever. I'm so grateful that I was able to experiment it live many times!

Linda Eder is the queen! There's no beating her in this role!

Jekyll and Hyde is one of my top favorite musicals tiding with Les Miz. It's not just the story that makes it so unique, it's the incredible score that gives me chills. I wish I could have seen the original production though. Robert, Linda, and Christianne are incredible (just listening to them on the CD). Later on, I got the VHS recording of the filmed performance of the closing cast which included David, Colleen and Andrea which was breathtaking. Then last year, I saw the recent revival on Broadway with Constantine, Deborah, and Teal, which they were all great and made the roles their own. Very visual production.

I get goosebumps every time I hear this.

Coleen and Linda are so different, but I love them both!!!

Agreed for me it’s a tie between those two and Andrea and Colleen

I must admit that I have been spoiled with Linda Eder, however, hearing Christinane I can honestly say that her voice is as memorable as Linda's. Now Linda will ALWAYS be my first love, after hearing her in that first recording of Scarlet Pimpernel But today I look for music by Christiane when I finish looking for Linda.

BOTH SINGERS ARE THE BEST BROADWAY VOCAL PERFORMERS. I SAW THEM LIVE AND IT WAS A SINGING LESSON. DIFFERENT STYLES OF SINGERS BUT IMPECABLE TECHNIQUE BOTH.

I love them both too, but I felt Linda was'nt miked as well. And I'm probably wrong but I'm not sure it's Linda. I saw the show eleven times w/ Linda in New York incl. opening night. And four with fill ins, An this just does;nt have the Linda nuances to me., maybe it;s the echoon the audio. Thank you so much for this tape though, JC

My aunt saw the show after Linda Eder left and said the same thing about the show -- it was pretty sub par. It's weird, because reading the synopsis and listening to the soundtrack, the show sounds amazing. What was bad about it? A friend of mine saw Linda in Jekyll and Hyde and said the exact same thing as you. I wonder why - she always seems relatively convincing in her concert and tv appearances. :P

@Sakura2079 Yes I just hate it when I go to see a musical with a professional musical theatre trained singer rather than one who tries to turn everything into a popular music style of singing. I think Coleen has an amazing voice but she ruins some of the songs she does with trills and slides that just do not work in a musical like Jekyll and Hyde.

I think it's interesting when people think that in order to convey the message of the song, you have to have all these exaggerated expressions on your face or you're not a good performer. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that kind of thinking screams OVERACTING & AMATEURISH. Judging from the audience reaction, I think Linda emoted just fine.
