Have you ever felt so defeated that you start questioning, “will there ever be a good day?” I honestly find it difficult sometimes to open up to others who expect you to overcome anything easily. It’s easier for me to just overcome it first and then have a testimony to go along with it. I admire those who are vulnerable enough to open up during their storms. If they open up to me, I will pray that I have a past experience to relate with them. I want to take the time to listen and understand their troubles.
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Psalm 13:2
When I do remember God’s love for me, each time I fall and cry, I lift myself back up and run towards the narrow road. The narrow path that we have to take to follow Jesus.
My defeats tend to discourage me, and sometimes it takes me longer to get back up. But He understands our human hearts.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Romans 8:18
And I think that’s what matters most to God. I believe God loves it when we come running back to Him after our falls.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
James 4:10
I want to thank my husband for comforting me during these painful moments in my life. He has been so sweet and romantic. It's a blessing to have a best friend that knows me so well, that knows how to make me feel loved. I am grateful for his kindness and patience towards me.
