A lot of this interview resonated with me. I've had had similar experiences, thoughts, and feelings. Guilt can motivate us to repent. Shame isn't what God desires for us. Rather than thinking about "forgiving myself," I want to rest in the fact that God has forgiven me.

This is so good. His story and advice are so powerful and applicable. If you're reading this comment, Jesus died JUST for you, and you don't have to be perfect to receive his love. Temptation and addiction have no power over you, you can do this. Through Christ I did, and you can too!

This concept of understanding the difference between guilt and shame was nice to hear. This is such an inspiration to watch. The point about the little things that lead to the final point is something that I can really relate to. This blessed me a lot.

Wow - what a beautiful testimony! I pray for continued strength of Christ in your life and that your story will inspire many others who are struggling, not just with porn, but any other struggles, like pride, impatience, greed, gluttony etc. I love what you talked about how it's not the final steps, but it's the beginning steps and small steps, how you talked about not elevating certain sins and about your conviction of how you promised yourself of purity for a period of time before getting into a relationship! I am currently doing that myself, of having a time just to myself without dating anyone for at least half a year but possibly more, and it's been one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had and God has really been taking the center of my heart and soul. I also resonate with not being able to change the past, but being able to say that I, at some point, looked at God, and said no more, and holding yourself accountable, and giving that whole truth to your future spouse. Praying for your continued journey, and for your future wife, marriage and family! Thank you for your vulnerability and honesty. Im sure God will use this to liberate and help so many people! Powerful Stuart!

Very encouraged by this man. Thanks for spurring me on to confessing my own sin, not matter what it is. Satan wants a hold. Thanks for explanation around shame and guilt although I do believe there is appropriate shame and felt there could have been more clarity on this. Thank you!

He is the youth pastor we all wanted! Its easy to come and confess sin and ask for help, when leaders are soft and open like that. No judgement, hundred percent honesty and self reflection. He is very humbled and pure hearted. God will give Him a lot of grace.
