Michael is so in love with his Savior, Jesus Christ. It is so evident when he sings. Powerful anointing from God. The Gaither homecoming friends really rallied around Michael when he came back to Jesus after his fall. What he all did is, irrelevant and washed away by the powerful cleansing blood of Jesus. Drugs, alcohol, and adultery. Found his way back to God. That is why when he sings Please Forgive Me you can feel it

My grandma used to sing this song and my cousin sang it through tears at her funeral. We were all crying. We knew she was experiencing everything depicted in the song at that moment. I miss her but I know she is in the presence of God.

I have watched the Gaither videos for some time now. My first video that i purchased was of Guy Penrod its amazing. I still find it hard to believe that so few people know who these people are. Bill wrote "He touched me" that's a really popular song. And "Because HE lives" oh wow that one has SO much meaning to me.

@gametchanger Bill Gaither is an Indiana boy that grew up listening to quartet music. Like George Younce and the Cathedral quartet, Jake Hess, and many other of the old time singers. And when he married his wife, Gloria, they started writing music like He Touched Me, Because He Lives and a lot more as a Classics. After he married Gloria, he was singing with his wife, and his brother. And it just grew from there.

Please Forgive Me is a must from Michael with the Vocal Band backing him up, truly an amazing testament you can just feel pouring from him while singing it.

The Gaithers are just so amazing & precious. Part of my childhood & still part of me today. Guy Penrod's voice really wipes me out. This was so annointed.

Michael was with the Gather Vocal Band early on, from 1985-1994. Then he came back 2009-2014. He also has an awesome testimony! He wrote an autobiography about his many struggles (an affair, ego, drugs, panic attacks) and redemption. Bill Gather did a DVD 'The Best of Michael English'. Bill and Michael talk openly about overcoming tremendous struggles and how there is forgiveness and redemption in Christ and the Christian community. I recommend: 'Please Forgive Me', 'Winds of This World' w/GVB 'Pure and Simple' album.
