The Quran is the testimony of one man's revelation. Muhammad was illiterate so he recited it from memory. Scribes wrote down what he recited .... resulting in many different recitations of the Quran. The New Testament is written by a multitude of people who had revelations with God. As a Greek Eastern Orthodox we have the original language which remains incorrupt. The Quran contradicts historical evidence and the huge volume of testimonies and revelations about Jesus Christ. The Quran is also written 600 years after Jesus Christ walked the earth. The words of Jesus Christ were already recorded, and Muhammed changed them. Jesus Christ was crucified. As the Quran says that He wasn't, It can be conclude that whatever is said about Jesus Christ is untrue. Sadly .... Muslims say that they love and revere Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary. When in truth, they do not care about who Jesus Christ really is or what he had to say!!!

Lam Lam You sharing this out of ignorance is not right, because you probably didn't even listen to what this debate is all about, 'a dialogue about the truth in Islam and Christianity' then why would you take out an ignorant man context and try to prove something both of you don't know? There is nothing like hatred in Islam or any Abrahamic religion including true Christianity

@USMAN Dear Usman. I appreciate your comments and advice. I do want to point out to you that I have studied extensively. Please provide me a name of any scholar or student of scholarship with contribution to Islam in English language in today's times that you find a cut above Sheikh Yasir Qadhi. Secondly, The story of Prophet Musa (A.S.) is not analagous to the comment I posted. I did not boast about myself being the most knowledgeable of all time, nor did I indicate that Sheikh Yasir Qadhi is the most knowledgeable of all time. Even in the case of Dr. Yasir Qadhi, I did not say that he is the best person "of all time". I said "in these times". It is also true that words cannot do justice to his contribution, primarily because it has been done in English language, with context and analogies relative to 21st century, as opposed to the rest. I hope you take my words in good faith, inshallah.

Mashallah, what a beautiful dialogue. I have always respected and loved Christians and tbh, our differences is no more than a difference in philosophy and practice. If I don't drink beer, that doesn't mean that I should hate the person who does. It's lovely how they were able to explain this feeling that you can wish that the other person were more inclined to your own religion but not hate a person for being indifferent. Also this video has made me more open to researching on Christianity so I can have the opportunity to listen both sides of the story

If you would like to know what the stumbling block in the Quran is: The Quran is the testimony of one man's revelation. Muhammad was illiterate so he recited it from memory. Muslims say that they love and revere Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary. When in truth, they do not care about who Jesus Christ really is or what he had to say!!! @kurgan ashina Galilee consisted of Greek-speaking and Aramaic-speaking people. It is written in the Quran that Muhammad was trading scriptures with the Jews. “Believe in My revelations which confirm your Scriptures. Do not be the first to deny them or trade them for a fleeting gain” 2:41 Muhammad said he received revelations though out his life. The Quran was not finished. The Torah and Gospels complete long before Muhammad was born. He said that he wanted to confirm his revelations with the scriptures, when in truth he planned on manipulating them.

Each person to their own belief and respect other peoples's beliefs. As muslim of course for me Islam is the truth but I respect other people's choice to choose their own way of life. The best way to show Islam is the Truth and the Straight Path is by our own good conduct as muslims..not by shoving it rudely down people's throats or quarelling or insulting other people's religion - coz this was how Prophet Muhammad( peace be upon him) behaved.

I have seen Dr. James white give his explanation of monotheism on youtube several times. He says the trinity is "one being" and "three persons." Being is what you are and person is who you are. For example all of us are, "human Beings." This would mean this is what we are. But all of us are different, "persons." Because our behavior our personality our uniqueness is what makes us persons. James says the trinity does not say, "one being" within "three beings." If it says that than that would be polytheism. I have never seen anything in Dr. White's definition that says "one being four persons" is not monotheism. Or even "one being five hundred persons" is not monotheism or even " one being infinity persons" is not monotheism. It seems there does not have to be any restriction on the number of persons and yet it would still qualify as monotheism according to Dr. White or even Christianity. This is why in Islam we say Allah is Ahad, "one","unique" and "matchless." Al-ahad means that he is on in both his essence and his attributes. The quran also makes it clear that Jesus (pbuh) is not God. ins surah 5:75 it says the messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messanger; messanger have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how we make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded.

Daud Salvador Christ is not God's literal son, to the Jews, the "Son of" meant to be given the preeminence of, in the same way a Son would inherit the status of his Father, so to did Christ inherit the status of God. (Something that he could only do by BEING God in the flesh, as quite obviously nothing could be equal to the Almighty unless they were a manifestation of the Almighty themselves.) Christ is God in the flesh, fully God, yet fully human, God is an infinite being who is all places at once, to think he couldn't exist in heaven on his throne as the Almighty Father and also on Earth as our Lord and Savior Yeshua Christ is to say that you don't believe God to be infinite.

As a practising Conservative Catholic (not merely a cultural one), Dr. White's theology on only Christians being saved (1:23), is not a universal Christian belief. As a Catholic Christians for example we believe that we are only saved through Christ and His Church, yet we can't judge individuals and say who is going to heaven and hell...Anyways, God bless the Muslim community!

That is saying the exact same thing using different wording. You are saying only those who believe in the trinity through the Catholic Church go to heaven right?

@Jakeeyy1009 I wasn't really addressing you in particular. Both Muslims and Christians in this thread have shown appalling behaviour. I condemn both parties and I'm not about to get involved in a debate about history with a thread that clearly has hateful comments. "Piss be upon you" to name just one example. I believe any respectable Christian like Dr James Wood would condemn these comments before joining in the same conversation thread. I condemn both the Muslims and the Christians in this thread. Inaction is also action.

@@AAA111... had a look at professor David Wood. Thank you for how respectful you were in your words, it's truly refreshing and lovely. So, the reason I have so much respect for Dr James is he, similarly to you, talks without arrogance, respectfully and from a place of knowledge. Watching Wood's videos, unfortunately I cannot say the same. And when he actually has to debate in person with a person of knowledge, who has actually studied the Quran and the Arabic language, all of his arguments fall extremely short. I've watched a debate I'd highly recommend that demonstrates exactly this, it's called Mohammed Hijab vs. David Wood tawheed vs trinity. Although I don't agree religiously in some of Hijab's strong delivery - the Quran explicitly says to teach without arrogance and softly, he makes extremely valid points that Wood doesn't seem to be able to answer. Wood also loses a lot of the bravado in his videos when he talks to someone that knows their stuff. I'll thank you again for how respectful your suggestion was, it's really nice to see!

Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children. (Isaiah 13:15-18 NLT)

As a muslim Dr. Qadhi the way you communicated about Islam it touched my heart. Though there are theological differences with both the Relgions, never did any discrimination came across among the each other. This is what we wanted and hoped. Rev: James white I do think you are no more weird of Muslim brothers after this conversation, hope so!

The hate Dr White is receiving from Christians is very indicative of the faith of these particular Christians. They will tell us Jesus (PBUH) love everyone, and Christianity is all about love, but look at these people. Digging out all sorts of verses from the NT to put Dr White down. What a sad thing to see. If Jesus is truly about love, these people need to find the true Jesus.
