@@shelleyd9910 but how does one give the gospel when they've betrayed God even after literally hearing His voice? If I can't give the gospel, then what's the point of living? No matter how much I give, it will never lead anyone to God if I don't have God in my life to give. And if I don't give, then life is shallow and only for myself which is empty and pointless without Him who gives me purpose. I've royally screwed up my relationship with God to the point that I can't even read His word. I try but then my mind goes blank and then even my attempts to read get thwarted to where I don't even touch my Bible even though at this very moment I want to read it even though I know my mind will just wander and not retain a single bit of what I read. The worst thing is that I've become so dead inside that this distance between me and God doesn't even invoke the least bit of sorrow nor any emotion. I'm alive, but dead inside, a puppet trying to pretend in the hopes that maybe things will become real while also not desiring the shallow life of selfish living.

The difference between true Christianity and false Christianity or other religions is what your works do. In Christianity your good works cannot out weigh your sins. Other beliefs you gain eternal life by doing more good than bad. Every human being is a sinner and deserves Gods wrath (especially me). This is my biggest struggle right now. God wants me to be strong and courageous, I know that. and I want to be that. But I've been bred a people-pleaser from birth. I was taught that being sweet all the time and not saying things that may start an argument is what makes me a "good girl". And it's odd, that the same people who told me to be a good girl and who raised me to be a doormat, are the ones who get mad at me when I stand up for myself, and they also get mad at me when I don't stand up for myself. I get yelled at and berated for being "too nice", but I'm also somehow "not a good girl" and "going down the road of disappointment" when I speak out in boldness, or when I offer a different opinion. I'm always torn between taking the punches to keep the peace or speaking out against injustice & others starting to retaliate against me. Pray for me, please, that I learn to be both kind and strong because it's taking a toll on me.

Same I've been a people pleaser too. That's why submitting myself to jesus is scary bcs I'm very much scared abt what ppl will think bcs all my life I've only been worried abt the opinion of ppl and fitting in uk. But the more I read the bible , the more I see the prophets and the apostles speak, the more I realize they put God first and when they did were very hated by ppl. The fact that we choose God esp in this generation means we will be persecuted and hated for speaking the truth. Why, look at jesus himself . :( we might never fit in but that's ok. Bcs we have God with us and we must sumbit to him . Rn I'm praying to him at times and just trusting in God bcs I realize I probably might never have the courage by myself but I've heard that when ppl fast they get courage there too! Maybe fasting and praying might help? :D be strong in christ !

It's my nature, but it’s important to learn to speak up when necessary. But I have to imagine it's even harder for girls (partially because of the whole "wives submit to your husbands" thing. Yes, the Bible says that, but people take it way too far sometimes.) All the love and respect for the assertive (yet kind) Christian women out there. Please don't be afraid to stand out. ❤

This is a whole different discussion, but I have been able to talk to so many different Christian professors in my life who have been able to help support me to understand exactly why the word "fear" is chosen in the Bible. I agree we should not serve God because we are scared of him, but it is extreme awe and MORE. We should be afraid of God. I mean, think about it: He has so much power and we deserve nothing compared to all that we have done. We are sinners and humans who don't even deserve to be alive. We should fear God with real fear.

In retrospect I should've respected her wishes to stop after a few texts, but I was arrogantly blind not understanding why she wouldn't give the faith a chance and get to know the true living God in Christ. So a video like this and how to recover and move on from something broken in my own hands and faulty behavior would be nice.

Thank you so much for this msg I didn't even know I needed to hear this but I did. Such a good msg and encouragement, I've definitely struggled with this alot and God has been working on this with me and taught me alot. It's just the right balance and when you have God's love for people you can be bold and straightforward but they will thank you for being honest.

Hate to be this person but... FIRST!!😂❤️ I love being early :) I haven’t even finished the video, but I know this is what I needed! I’ve been pondering over this question for so long! “Is standing up for myself arrogant? Does it mean I constantly let others out me down?” It’s been tearing me apart, so God is good! Thank you for speaking on this :)

You have to be assertive and assured that the Lord will take care of all of your needs, and that no one, not even your spouse, should ever take advantage of your loving, Christian kindness, remember that! Even if you have to remind people that indeed there is a limit to your patient kindness with others.
