The highlight of our London vacation

I’ve seen the show three times, witnessed Jak cry during this song in his final performance, and Christian’s taken on the role doing it so beautifully. It’s an emotional change of tone towards the end of Act I, and I love it. It brings tears to my eyes every time. Hester, who served our nation, we love you.

God, I really love this song. This whole musical, in fact. I hope one day the show is immortalised in a pro shot or something along the lines. This show really is a cherished work of art

I saw the show this weekend and I was so incredibly moved by Christian’s performance and this song. Might be one of the most beautiful musical songs out there. So grateful I can now watch this video and experience his storytelling again 🥹🥰

Christian is an absolute star, saw his Hester last summer, stunning!

Seen Christian as Hester both times Ive seen Mincemeat and he never fails to amaze me. Everything from his characterisation, range, acting is just beautiful. He really embodies the emotion and makes me cry every time

ive seen jak and christian play this role, both are truly incredible - this song is just so beautiful the way it brings you in and holds you throughout the 5 minute long runtime with the performer just stood there. God That’s Brilliant direction.
