Shakespeare wrote of island Britain as 'This fortress built by nature for herself against infection and the hand of war'. A look at Britain in the 21st century in an age of rapid travel, major migrations and emerging drug resistant infections will consider why Britain is no longer a 'fortress' and what the implications are for its inhabitants and health services.

I have watched many hundreds of (deep) educational videos incl. medical (physiology mostly) lectures and (of course) a lot of Gresham College lectures. I would put this particular lecture in my top 10% list - well done on all levels, from the presentation itself to what is being presented. I didn't check even once how much time was left, which I often do (quite impatiently) even in videos I actually like.
A very well structured presentation, I really enjoyed it. I am really happy to have found this channel. It would be really interesting to expand the video such to include Q&A (which I suppose has taken place). Also a more in depth expansion on the drug resistance issue would have been welcome, since this phenomenon treathens to invert the downsloping trends we see in bacterial infectious diseases.
I understand what you are saying but not writing ;-) This is a great youtube channel in any case.

There is a cave next to the Reservoir, There is a stream in the cave , Under the water of the steam, you come out in the other side of the cave, and the Bats in there are close to The curtain. What is divulged to you, is for you. What is not divulged to you, is not for you !!! You must not peer behind the curtain!!! You must not approach the curtain!!!. You do know the curtain is on the holi of holi's in mecca 🤔 That's where rag is held ! That's where this venture against SARS 1 started.
