As Hondo said about this tragedy, on calls like this there is a 1% chance that things will go critically wrong, and if you go out long enough, that 1% will eventually become a certainty. Unfortunately that 1% had Erica's name on it.

For real, though. Luca's incredible ability to connect with people is one of the many reasons I love him.

I really love the S.W.A.T. series. They convey incredibly strong feelings over comparatively short scenes with an adequate to moderate amount of speech. The few said sentences in every scene contain a lot more message than in many other movies/series. The writer's really good, and the actors anyway. I deeply admire Lina's display of Chris' breakdown here. It takes a lot of acting skills to portrey this. This scene (the first one) had me in tears, which happens quite easily to be honest, but also with a pounding heart, breaking a sweat and desiring nothing more than to be there for Chris in that moment, which almost never happens when I see fictional movies/series. I love the S.W.A.T. series for portraying their characters authentically and not melodramatically. Thank you for this series to the writer and to the actors (and to everyone else involved)!

So So sorry.

This was so depressing to see. What made it sadder was that it could've easily been Deacon, Street or Chris that could've gotten shot. Like what if Deacon wasn't off that day. It could've been an entirely different situation. I watched this the moment I woke up and then I was just kinda sad throughout the rest of the day.

What Chris went through is the HARDEST thing for everybody to go through as it happened to me when I was in the Army as I lost a friend who was in my unit but in a different role during Desert Storm! It is hard and no amount of time can or replace the pain one goes through!

She was so hyped up by Chris in her story arc, then magically disappeared for so long, and when she actually showed her skills which was insanely good, main squad worthy, but bam. She's already gone the moment she finally returned on screen. Unfortunate.

Lucus is a 3 Generation Swat officer and probably have had a lot of relationship training from his dad and granddad that’s why he can relate to each of his team in a way that give them what they need collectively as well as individually.

Still gives me chills till this day

I cry a lot with "58- David is down"

I feel like if she was the one who told erika’s sister Chris wouldn’t have spiralled, but she did need to stay on site.

0:48 only a black tip armor piercing would be able to do that, a green tip 5.56 would not be able to punch through that level 3 armor.

@@hawk469 Armor piercing is for piercing armor. While some spalling from a possible plate or ribs can be expected, they usually leave a cleaner hole that a hollow point for instance. But first thing that should have been done was expose the wound and then apply preasure. Doing CPR without any occlusive dressing or attempted to stop the bleeding just pumps the blood out faster. Also, it's not the EMT's job to declare the patient dead so early in any resuscitative attempts.

The biggest threat to her was probably pericardial tamponade or tension hemothorax/pneumothorax, both of which can be alleviated with the respective correct cheast tubes.

Poor Chris. That death haunted her for half a season.

I would've lobbied for a minute of silence.

Like SWAT is going to give out the name of the team member over the air before the next of kin can be notified. Same goes for Chris telling Luca about it before the department had a chance to debrief all the team members on what went down to determine how it happened.
