His stuff always has that heavy baseline. It’s the perfect backdrop for his gritty vocals. His bass player JD Cure has been with him since the beginning. And yes, Chris’ timing is impeccable. You could set a metronome to him.

And they sound GREAT. I'd say Tele, Jazz, Strat, Jag, Stang in the semi Fender family. Those are my choices in order. I don't use tremolo bars. I unscrew them

@saccomad 1 hour ago listen to Chris' cover of "its a man's world' (james brown cover ) live and his own songs 'either way' - 'barely alive ' - - 'higher' - 'north dakota ' - 'death row' - 'sometimes I cry ' and his video 'fire away' (very important message on mental health) but there are so many many more (past and present).. he is a true artist! And he always has a story to tell .. the best storyteller ever!!

HIS RUNS ARE UNPARALLELED. PERIOD!!!!!!! IF I WAS AS PROLIFIC A SONGWRITER AS CHRIS & REMOTELY CLOSE TO HIS LEVEL AS A VOCALIST I WOULD HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE ONLY THING LEFT-HIS SELF TAUGHT GUITAR PLAYING SKILLS THAT ARE BETTER THAN MOST.
I vow to never watch another reaction from this guy....

How can you actually hear and experience a song when you pause every 3 seconds?
You're the guy at a concert talking through the whole thing to educate everyone as to what they are hearing. You stopped the video to say, "the vocals are crazy! I've said it a thousand times. How much more do you want me to say?" We don't want you to say anymore.
