Yeah when he said that I was like huh?! Tell that to the 15 year old honor student who was just murdered by the police in Dallas Saturday night. I think he'd say that his past was better.

Kanhwiyonne the problem with making statements like that is that its subjective. There are many statistics that show it getting worse for black people as a whole. I mean, i understand what he is saying in general, but it depends on which lens you view "better" through.
@MrGrace
7 жыл бұрын
i can give you one without doing any research: the incarceration rate, which has exploded disproportionately for black people in the last 40 or so years. Mind you, incarceration is legal slavery, as stated by the constitution. I wasn't really tryna do any heavy thinking about this comment, but you keep challenging me, and its making me think of several ways in which I'm right. Just agree to disagree. i think you think I'm attacking Chris Rock, but I'm not. He's a very smart man, but that doesn't mean he's never wrong.

CHRIS Rock hit the nail on the head with the J. Cole & Kendrick comparison. Both of very similar ilk. Just different modes and means of expressing their art and regional as well as different industry ties

I dont know why but i can watch chris rock interviews all day. Like his opinion his word is trustworthy. When he talks it just make sense. Also he got the inside scoops and he knows everyone thats worth knowing. Tribe, eddie murphy, dave chappelle. He is old school but he so open to new thinking.
Damn Chris droppin sum bombs! Creative people need 2 be alone sum timez, not livin 4 your crew but 4 yourself!!! 🎤🎤🔥🔥🔥🎤🎤🎤

Basically what I heard at 13:55 "CHRIS PLEASE CONFIRM MY OPINION SO IT'S LEGITIMATE"
Really good interview. Felt more like a podcast conversation than an interview.
This is why Chris is a must see. So much sense spoken
One of the best interviews i watched or heard lately. I think it even helped me on a personal level i didn't expect to (the new friends part). Thanks, y'all. Thanks Chris

Damn I need this video to be like 20 hours longer. I could listen to Chris Rock talk all day.
WOW the insight Chris Rock has on life is amazing! I would love to have a guy like that in my circle. The way he talked about DMX was so real I swear.
That Skit he did on Rick Ross' album was the funniest shit I heard all year.
chris rock at 44 min said the realest shit ive heard all year
Such a great interview/conversation. Can listen to Chris Rock all day. Thank you for Chris Rock, God. Thank you.
Great interview. Much respect to Chris. RIP Charlie Murphy.
Kendrick Lamar is definitely in the conversation, he surpassed a lot of MC's already. Also Kendrick Lamar can fit in any era in my opinion as can maybe a J. Cole. The 90's were the best era for Hip-Hop in my opinion because most fans CRAVED that real, gritty yet conscious music, which is what Kendrick Lamar delivers consistently. TPAB is Kendrick's best album, behind DAMN.

bsinatra145 he would've been the Drake of that era. He's lyrical when compared to today's rappers, but when he's compared to 90s rappers he is more melodic. I don't think he would start singing or anything but he wouldn't be seen as a master lyricist. Cole is the only other mainstream artist besides Kendrick that could flourish in the 90s. Cole can story tell with the best of em.

Chris Rock probably one of the realist celebrities ever, he's mad funny and knows alot!

FACTSS great artists need to be alone sometimes in order to come out with great work!! Chris is very insightful.
Chris rock has pure accuracy on most topics cole and kendrick are hiphop deep rooted great interview much love
Rosenberg these the interviews we need. Great conversation, great questions. Kept it real and solid.
He always drops gems !

We saw Chis at Disney World and he wasn't having it. My son loves Chris and meeting him before going to basic training would of been the icing on the cake.
Loved this interview.

Great interview
They're not comparable.
We need more Chris Rock interviews!
this is a great interview. Chris is so damn smart
best interview in a while
My top 3 right now: 1. Chris Rock 2. Dave Chapelle 3. Bill Burr (I'm very aware dave is the goat, but it's my opinion kid)
Dope interview.
Chris Rock is always the voice of reason for America.
one of my favorite comedians of all time & Laura styles is beautiful
brilliant brotha, a few times he said things and i was like hmmmm i never thought of it like that
this guy does a great interview
Chris Rock has always been brilliant. One of the funniest, most cerebral comedians ever. Not allowing famous people to run for office makes so much sense. It's a theory that is so obvious but has been overlooked by everyone.
His fucking head bob & the way he looks at Rosenberg while a record plays is FUCKING CLASSIC!!!!!!!!! Lmaoooo
Shouts to chris for the cole love
Saturday, Baby!!!!!!!
went to the blackout tour show. didnt stop laughing. greatest comedian of all time
"remember rap"...damn true
0:20 in and Chris drops that CB4 head bop! 😂😂
