Chris Rivers Says NO ONE Stayed In Contact With Him After His Father (Big Pun) Passed (Full Episode)

Ойын-сауық

Chris Rivers and his mother Liza Rios (the widow of Big Pun) join me on this episode. They speak about being homeless and living in a shelter after Big Pun passed away. Chris Rivers also speaks on dealing with depression, mental illness and dealing with the pressure of having to provide for his family at 8 years old. Chris Rivers also speaks on doing press and interviewers only asking him about his father. There is much more to this episode. So I think you should give this a listen and share it to your social media accounts. Also share it with your friends and loved ones who might be dealing with depression.

Pun's 20th Anniversary is next year. If you can, tell them. Reach out to the Bronx councilman Ricky Torres for the Float. They can give out rubber bands and swear bands to promote mental and physical health. It should be in the Puerto Rican day Parade and festivals. That float is a great idea. S/o too you for keeping hip hop essence alive.

I like him as a person.. He is transparent and Nice on the Mic... Pun is in my top 20...The 1st Pun album changed my perspective on lyracism. I was 18 when that album came out and I remember the singles/ samplers and instramentals. Pun in my opinion was the one who bought the East Coast back via DMX, Mobb Deep, Wu Tang, Lyricist Lounge underground movement, Bad Boy, Jay Z and Pun etc.. No particular order respectively... When Pun died we all was hurt..

Chris Rivers has a level of maturity, integrity & a deep knowledge of self that few people in life, MUCH LESS other artists & people in the industry can claim. That alone will have people not wanting to be around him or help him because it honestly makes them realize their own shortcomings. Chris may be unsure of certain things about himself, we're ALL human, but he is secure in himself as an individual & secure people ALWAYS make insecure people feel uncomfortable. Personally, I feel like he's too good for what the culture has turned into. I don't give two shits about his gap or weight (I mean your health is your wealth so I get it) but his maturity & self awareness is a SERIOUS turn on & makes him sexy AF!!

Exactly... and she wants to blame Joe for not holding her hand and keeping her pockets stuffed, when she screwed up the money he gave her. At some point, you gotta get up off your ass... your hubby is gone and that's unfortunate, but you're still here. You gotta live and take care of yourself. And Chris needs to man up and stop listening to his mother's side and be fair. He's obviously an intelligent dude, but he's a son-husband. His mom is clinging to him and emotionally manipulating him. He knows better, but he still has that "...but that's my mom" mentality.

@@KtotheG agreed 100%! Nothing in life is guarantee. Even some men loose their wife/kids mother and have to make it happen all on their own! It’s also a good idea to keep the amount of kids u have to a minimum in case things do not work out !!!

A legend is just someone who people talks about consistently... they can be dead or alive.. they can have small output or large output. They can be good or bad. They just have to keep their names ringing in the community that they're in. That's what makes them a legend.

Let's be real. The Nuyoricans that were there From Day One, were AfroLatinos. Let's stop acting like the majority of Puerto Ricans are not more associated with Africans than Europeans. So YES, Hip-Hop IS "Black Culture", And I can say that because I've been around IN NYC before Hip-Hop even started. And if Puerto Ricans in Hip-Hop DISAGREE than they need to STOP saying "Nigga". Peace.

Any Latino from ANY of those Latin Caribbean islands who does not know that they themselves are descendants of the slaves from Africa that were dragged there by Columbus IN ADDITION TO the indigenous Taino Indians that were already there have no idea who they are as a people & need to get a history lesson forreal. Far too much ignorance & denial of self in my Latin community. It pisses me off that we are so proud but want to not only deny our actual ancestry but also deny our people who weren't born on the island proper (Puerto Ricans are notorious for that shit), like WTF are you proud of exactly?? No wonder we can't get ahead of anything - don't get me started!!

It is black becauseHip hop music was invented by a black person kool herc and others pr was there even some dr writing graff break dancing all that they also attributed to hip hop from beginning n was there. but its for those ignorant who act like latins are trying to be like something or bite they part of it. the term "Hip Hop" was made popular by Wonder Mike a puerto rican in the sugar hill gang.

@@FightMang36 You're WRONG. The term came from COWBOY(GMF Furious 5) Grandmaster Caz (who WROTE for Sugarhill) and Busy Bee (depending on who you chose because they all said it in their verses). And again, The Culture of Hip-Hop revolves around The Black Community and DJ'ing. EVERY ETHNIC GROUP was doing Graffiti and B-Boying came AFTER the Park Jams and Rec Room Parties were Already in effect. THROUGHOUT NYC, not just The Bronx. I KNOW because I was THERE. Again, the "Latinos" who participated in the Early Days were intertwined WITH "African Americans yet only a FEW were open to participating. The rest remained dedicated to Salsa, which itself is more Afro CUBAN than Afro-Rican.
