Great review again sir... and rest assured, im carrying "your" 21 very frequently 😉... did pollish up the washers on a strop to get the flicking game strong though! I will try to wait for a small 31 configuration i like, thank you for your two cents! Oh btw i think Adam Apurvis did do some clips for these aswell

They used to harden S35VN to 58-59 and switched about 5 years back, I think, to 59-60. I’ve heard that most people who have Rockwell tested their stated 59-60s (which again are all of them for the past few years) have come up at or close to 60. They do a very good job with S35VN.

I've always loved the style of the Sebenza. There's something about that blade shape that I really love. Some day I hope to have one. Great review.

People are probably talking about the Regular Sebenza. The Regular Sebbie blade has more of the drop/spear point shape, and the later Sebbies have more of a trailing point look (although it is a drop point). I also do see a little bit of a Regular Sebenza in it as well.

I'd love to see your review of the CRK Impinda. I know it's out of their "norm" but I think it's the best looking and in some ways the most interesting CRK out there.

And I’m back for the 31 review and darn you... I’m sold on getting one now. Design is so clean without the locating hole and incrementally better knife now. Will be getting one with micarta handles for sure. Well done review. Yes, the ceramic detent ball is also on the Inkosi and was first released on the Umnumzaan.

After a long time I am getting Sebenza on my radar again (had the small one in the past). Since I plan to pick the Waypoint with the upcoming drop - I would be super curios how does the Waypoint compares to the large Sebenza from the usage standpoint - how do these two cut in every day use?

With the 21, you were disappointed enough that you seldom carried it. This led to you sell it. May I ask what feature(s) of the 31 make it hard to stop carrying? From a looks/feeling standpoint, only the clip angle and some minor chamfering changed. I bet most people could hardly tell the difference between the 21 and 31. Surely inlays make as much or more of a difference. I look forward to hearing your opinion on what aspects the 31 have improved to get to the point of "hard to stop carrying".

I just got to place my order for my Sebenza 31 and I can not even get an Insingo bladeshape. I am pretty sure that I have seen that bladeshape before on a Sebenza 21 and I have that bladeshape on an Inkosi so I know it exists. It seems that over the last couple of years that CRK has cut back on the amount of options available for their knives and that in itself is showing to me that the company is going in the opposite direction. It is a shame because if they truly want to stay up at the top where they are then they have to cater a little bit harder to please more of their customers. Maybe CRK has seen it’s time and people are ready to move on. This will be my fifth CRK knife and could possibly be my last. Too bad so sad!!! I have a few more likeable CRK knives that I have a desire to obtain but knowing that some people buy them and keep them as safe queens I think that I might start looking for those styles on the secondary market or with a company that upgrades existing ones and forget entirely about purchasing directly from CRK themselves. It’s just the way things go sometimes....

For now, my LAND 910T2 M390, made by Sanrenmu, gets the closest. It was not particularly inexpensive, and it is quite derived from the Sebenza 21, but it has some fixes too. The titanium pocket clip does not rest on the lock bar, it has a steel lock bar insert with over travel stop, the lanyard post does not rattle, has a great detent, comes with left and right thumb studs and it has an M390 blade (not tested, but Sanrenmu is one of the best, if not the best, OEM factories.. Yes, Chinese).

That'll be 350 please 😂 all joking aside I am impressed with the build quality of these knives but I just don't like them .
