    I have both too in the same exact configuration. I prefer the Inkosi. It's easier to dissemble and the larger washers on both sides of the blade feels smoother. I wish it was in the insingo blade shape though.

    Knifejoy is great! I've always had great experiences with them. I trade my pj sabenza for a microtech stitch and it was heavily used. I started missing it and went to buy another and ended up with the umnumzaan and couldn't be happier. I would be very happy with both and definitely a hard choice. I would obviously go with both but if you could only pick one I would take the sebenza 31.

    Couldn’t decide so I pulled the trigger on a large Inkosi and went with the small demascus Sebenza for formal events. I don’t see any formal events in the future so it’ll probably sit NIB to be stared at. Damn, now I’m thinking if I should’ve went with the large Inlay Sebenza and the small Inkosi…🤷🏻‍♂️. Got to love America and the first world’s problems. Thanks for all the contents you make. Keep up the good work.

    hi, I own this milled clip, my thought is it works better on my Inkosi then on my Sebenza 21, probably because they canted the pocked clip on the Inkosi and new models like the 31, its a grate clip though, thank you for showing us.

    My Small Sebenza 31 is in S45VN. Date of birth says April 27th 2021, so it's only the really recent ones that have S45VN on the smalls at least. The larges might all still be S35VN though.

    I hope you kept them both. I kept both of mine. My Incosi is black micarta tanto and my 31 is natural micarta drop point just like yours. I’ve EDC’d the Incosi for almost a year and picked up the 31 inlay a few months ago. The 31 is slicier than the Incosi but I use the tanto blade of the Incosi the same way you do, using that second point to puncture tape and cardboard in a very controlled manner so you don’t slice the merchandise. But the 31’s smaller hollow grind and thinner blade stock make slicing much easier, so I use it when cooking at home.

    My vote is for the Sebenza, but that's only cause I love the pivot bushing system on the Sebenza. It just makes it so easy to get the same feel every time after disassembly. Also the single micarta inlay looks incredible to me (I would have gone for the black micarta, but that natural micarta looks great in person).

  • @ConsciousKing10

    I must be doing something wrong. Got my first CRK recently, a 31 small lefty PJ DP sebenza. I keep seeing people say that you get the same action every time because of the bushing pivot system… but if I tighten my pivot crew real tight… the action is super stiff. If I just barely snug it up, it’s much smoother. Also, I found that my pivot and blade stop sleeve pin screws keep backing out after lots of fidget openings, so I’ve had to use loctite. But the pivot screw definitely seems to need tuning for me…. Maybe since it’s only 2 weeks old I need to break the washers in more. Watched a Tim Reeve video on the Facebook group, he said they started shipping loctite with the 31’s because since they hardened the blade lock face for the ceramic ball and switched blade stop pin sleeve steel to something hardened and heat treated, the vibration from things hitting upon opening is enough to jostle the screws loose after a while. And I find this true on pivot and blade stop pin..

  • @jonallan392
    @jonallan3923 жыл бұрын

    Of course the answer is both, but if you twisted my arm I would go with the more classic look of the drop point blade for a one and only CRK. Now the Umnumzaan tanto , that's a must!

  • @gpearce11
    @gpearce113 жыл бұрын

    Personally, I'm all about that Sebenza 31; in fact, the left hand version of that exact knife is my "grail knife". For me the decision is primarily because I don't love the finger groves or split inlay, and it's 100% possible to reconfigure the Sebemza to have dual thumbstuds. For you, however, i think the decision was made the moment you said that you love CRK's tanto blades. Everything else is either equal or close enough that I think for now the Inkosi is the better pick for you (at least until the Sebenza 31 is available as an S45VN Tanto).

    Have a 21 tanto and prefer that blade to the tanto as found on your inkosi, which seems blunter. (?) If the inkosi had an insigno blade I’d be all over it, but for now I have to go with the classic 31 there. I have one of those as well and love it. BTW, convex (Appleseed cross section) is by far my favorite edge, and you can still maintain that by hand without a slack belt grinder. FYI, an extra thumb stud is worth $50 as that’s what Reeve charges. P.S., rambling is excusable as you’re making a big decision. 🤔😉

    Obviously, you need to keep both. You can scrape up $500 bucks somewhere else... The micarta is the correct choice as well. Don't really know why but that Inkosi blade reminds me of a humpback whale.

    Sebenza all the way for me. More slicey and i prefer the ergos. The second finger groove in the Inkosi just doesn’t work for me Sebenza, Umnumzaan and then Inkosi for me personally

    If you have to sell one, sell the Sebenza. You love that Inkosi and the tanto is sooooo good.

    Don’t like the Inkosi dual scales. Don’t like the Sebenza single finger grip. Don’t prefer the Inkosi tanto. Don’t prefer the Sebenza drop point. Hopefully you sold both and bought an Inkosi with an insingo.
