FINALLY someone reacting to this song. This EP invented an entire genre. Other bands may have tried, but this EP figured it out. Absolutely God-tier EP, and I seriously miss Saosin these days. New stuff is pretty good, but it just doesn't land like this or even the self-titled album.

This EP didn’t create an entire genre. It’s a great representation of the genre but bands that like Fugazi, At the Drive In, Thursday, etc… All came before.

Anthony green who sings on this record is also in Circa Survive. But there’s a self titled album from 2006 and in search of solid ground from 2009 that have a different singer, Cove Reber who is amazing. Those albums are so good.

Hell yeah. Anything with Anthony Green is amazing. The drumming in this band is unreal. This song is super dated though, so the quality of the recording isn't there. Saosin essentially helped pioneer an entirely new genre and everyone was copying this sound for a while. Their new album is super dope too though.

Saosin has one lead vocalist (Anthony Green who's also Circa Survives vocalist in this EP and the latest album, Cove Reber who's now in Dead American in their two albums after the EP), but one of the guitarists and the bassist do a lot of singing live and they also have a lot of recorded parts on the two albums with Cove. So yeah, the layering at the end and also the screaming in the chorus is all Anthony here, but live they distribute all that among the guitarists as well. If you listen to their newest album you'll notice that Anthony really loves layering lots of different vocals (don't know if he's been doing that in Circa Survive, I've never listened to them)

This is a classic and was one of the first bands to introduce the emo post hard-core sound. The only other bands sort of pushing this was finch in the USA and funeral for a friend in the UK. Then it took off and influenced the next decade of bands. You should check out Funeral's early stuff like this kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6J83LGLo8KxlNo.html

No way you're checking out Saosin! One of my fav bands ever. It is just the one singer, Anthony Green, with a lot of layering. They do that a lot with this band. I'd say you should check out "Voices." It is a little different because its with a different lead singer, Cove Reber. There is always the debate with Anthony vs Cove.

Here's something I bet you didn't know: this song was released in 2003. Saosin is amazing, so influential on the scene. Anthony Green is insanely good on the vocals, he left for a while and they released 2 records with Cove on vocals but Anthony came back and they released another record with him. You should check out more Saosin and more Anthony Green, especially with Circa Surive and his solo project.
