It's been years and time and he still loves Selena until this day. He's just learned to move on with life over time but hasn't gotten over her just life contines but wasn't easy for him. Chris fell into a deep depression when Selena passed.

The guy who recorded is close to the stage so it sounds probably stage volume, instead of capturing the speakers facing the crowd.
