That CP D-Will comp rivalry was was crazy at the time. Their careers were always gonna be compared and it ended up living up to the hype I’d say. Both were locked in to be elite PGs for whichever team landed em. There was a few yrs too where they were the best PGs in the league and whoever ya favored between the 2 ya weren’t considered wrong. Looking now, Cp’s longevity and lock to be a 1st ballot HOFer can make ya forget how close these 2 were early in their careers. 20 and 10 PGs weren’t as common as they are now. These dudes made average pg play officially unacceptable for teams going forward. Gotta be able to get big bucketts along w/ the floor general playmaker. I liked D-Will more bc his game was old man effortless. Come to find out he really was just lacking on giving effort lol. Fell off so quick. From being all NBA calliber to 9th n man in less than 3 seasons.

Great take! And think about it, 20 and 10 PGs STILL aren’t common, even tho it is the golden age of PGs since the mid 2010s. Wall, Westbrook and Harden are the only 20 and 10 PGs since!

@@BooBooDaFoo330 I’m not too sure. He kinda just enjoyed being an NBA player, but it was also his job and not his obsession. He made huge money and was content w/ that. Rings and records didn’t matter to him like it does to many of the great players
