Maybe if people stopped hating on the DA cause they have white members and paid attention to what they are doing they would realise sooner.

I feel like lot of South Africans don't understand how important the 2024 elections are, 12 million (I stand to be corrected) South Africans are not registered to vote and we are few months away. Anyways, thank you Dan and Chris for this awesome interview.

Great presentation Dan! I think that Chris can actually turn the whole country around. He needs to be given that chance. He has also done a lot of good for black communities and they adore him.

When the Organic Humanity Movement (OHM) gets enough seats in the coming election (and we will 🙂) then you Pr Pappas will stand a very good chance of becoming our president one day when THE PEOPLE can actually vote for their own president. Dan you gave real good questions. Papas said the DA is finished with racial politics but he is the stereotypical racial politic candidate. I really was thinking he would bring a different new feel to the narrative we have of the DA but he continued to reinforce what we have always thought of about the party. Worse the DA and IFP coalition wont win the Province because they played right into the hands of the ANC with the ANC always labelling IFP as Apartheid sympathises in the province. The IFP has cost itself a lot of votes in the Province through this. Well lets all go vote 2024 and hope for the best for this nation

It is sad that Chris mentioned one of my struggles I have with my municipality. My business proposal is also not taken seriously. They just make me fill forms and never get back to me until I call again to beg then for government funding to commence my own business. I won't say the place that did that but they're so corrupted

Sometimes you cut Chris off and interjected a question mid answer from him... As an interviewer, you just need to provide the platform for the interviewee to express themselves... You shouldn't steer it too much... But it'll come with experience 😁 keep going bud!

This was an OK interview but it is disappointing that Dan didn't ask more questions related to what practical steps Pappas has taken to improve service delivery in Umgeni. SA fails mostly with the nuts&bolts of practical service delivery. Policy and strategy and political speak we've heard as nauseum. What we want to hear is how one does effective road maintenance in a rural municipality on a constrained budget.

If the DA wants to govern SA, every potential DA public representative must be able to speak the local African language. Why should any African bother to listen to you if you do not address them in their own language? For me this is a no-brainer.

I agree in theory, but how do you decide which language someone has to learn? And it does rub me up the wrong way to make speaking a language a sort of legal requirement, even if the intention is good. Sometimes, people are really not good at learning new languages, and this is especially true if you are trying to learn as an adult. The main thing to look at is if someone's policies and overall track record is in alignment with a democratic and corruption free SA.
