Old guy here. KElce was just totally locked in! He was not going to drop any passes, 11 targets 11 receptions 116 yards and one TD. He’s been a matchup nightmare for 10 years. He’s too fast for a linebacker, too big for a safety, great hands, and a feel for the holes in the zone. If you really want to defend him, he has to be at least double covered, but that will only slow him down, not stop him. He is a consistent player with a hyper-competitive drive. Now he is paired with a QB who thinks like he does. Good luck trying to stop this HOF dynamic duo. Go Chiefs!

Everyone seems to forget Kelsey was a quarterback in college. He was taught to read defenses. Find the weak spots and holes. Just like Mahomes. Other teams prepare for Kelsey as a receiver. But he is more. So Kelsey can beat defenders because he knows their tendencies. 11 for 11 ought to tell them something.

A couple of years ago, the Rams were all in on winning THAT year. The Chiefs are built to be excellent EVERY year. They scout brilliantly, Andy Reid brings out the best in players, and the coaching is world class. A couple of years ago, they traded Tyreek, because they really LIKE players, but they don't fall in LOVE with players. Everyone has a place, and a value. Mahomes and MaAuto (Kelce), took less than max value contracts, because they realize the benefits of being on a winning team. This is one of the best run teams in the NFL. (If not the best).

The bucs didnt lock Kelce up...they chased mahomes all over the field because of the Jr Varsity O line KC was forced to play with due to injury. Not to mention Tyreek dropping 2 TDs.. Not taking anything away from the Bucs...they won that fair and square and absolutely deserved to win that game. Kelce had 72 yards in that game. That is not locking him down.

@@mattdrummond9087 I checked the play by play again on SB 55, Kelce had 55 yards when the score of 31-9 was already set. more than half of his yards were already garbage time catch-up desperation yards. The O line excuse is getting tiresome, they should have not played that day if that was the case, might as well give the lombardi already to the Bucs because Mahomes did not have capable linemen to play with. I never make excuses for lack of personnel, not even due to injury while playing through it. Brady had stiches in his throwing hand, and still willed to win his team in the 2016 AFCCG against the #1 ranked defense Jaguars, came back from 10 down in the 2nd half to win it. Just saying that a loss is a loss, that is why I never argue about the 2011 Giants and 2017 Eagles losses. Only the Tyree helmet catch is the one I am going to argue for lack of holding penalty on that play by Eli to Tyree.

@ReneParada they did give the trophy to the bucs if you didnt notice. Nothing you can do if you dont have an offensive line. Cant drop back and even throw yo Kelce if the QB is on the ground. It is a team sport after all. You say its tiresome... and you are right...doenst mean it isnt the truth though. How many yards do you think gronk would have had in Brady had a practice squad for an O line against a superbowl defense? My guess is worse because Brady cant run like Mahomes can...

@@mattdrummond9087 All of these "what if" scenarios are not really making sense. Did we ever put so much emphasis on Brady's O-Line during his championship runs? No, right? Because all we saw was great adjustment when facing great defenses. All those comebacks and clutch plays were a part of the gameplan. He did not rely on Gronk even when he faced the Chiefs in 2018 AFCCG until it was time to do it in the 4th and OT. Brady always took what he had and what the defense gave him to win, not to make excuses like "my O-line is a practice squad" LMFAO. Mahomes is so good, he should have told his OC and HC to do more dink and dunk coz he has less time, but they did not until they were already far behind. He was down 28-3 with a pick six and 5 sacks but still found a way to win, Mahomes' fans only found a way to make excuses. LMAO.
